could be a potassium deficiency. Eat more bananas, eat oranges too. Go to your Dr and ask him to do a potassium level if its under 4.0 your potassium is low. Plus take some magnesium along with it. But taking to much can also cause major problems. Either way if its too low you get leg cramps and an irregular hear beat, even can stop your heart. If its to high same thing.

Your calcium and potassium is probably low. You also may have poor circulation. Eat foods high in potassium such as green leafy vegetables, nuts, and figs. You can also take supplements...Go to Walmart and ask the pharmacist. They'll direct you to the right supplement for you.
Hope this helps!

Could be what the other answers say, but if those don't do it for you, it may be low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). You may want to look at www.hufa.org to check out the symptoms page, and see if you have any other symptoms, including the cramping legs.

are you stressed, do you get enough (8-10) hours of sleep?
these to things can cause completely off-the-wall stuff if not enough is obtained. also, like these people said, potassium and water will help.(mainly potassium)
do you walk a lot? or have you recently started walking more/ or particularly up and down stairs?
and, try to think if you're in any stange activities.

Could be lots of stuff.
They could be growing, so they hurt like crazy.
If you run or exercise, they could just be cramping, and Tylenol and a hot bath will help that.
They could also just be being dumb.
Who knows?
But most likely, a hot bath and one or two Advils or something will help.
Goodluck.

Probable because you've been working out running, picking heavy stuff up and all kind of work out stuff and if that's not the case then you need to see a Doc'

many reasons. are they muscle cramps? drink tons of water, could be dehydrated and need more water, cut down on salt..cut down on processed foods..consume more potassiam (bannanas) lack of potassiam causes muscle cramps. drink gatorade to replace your electrolytes...could be a nerve condition also. ..restless leg syndrom is one..best bet is to go to the doctor.

all of these answers could be correct but it could also be a spinal issue. I have a herniated disc in my lower spine and it reaks havoc on my hamstrings and calf muscles in the form of cramps...
I would suggest stretching your lower back, hamstrings and calf muscles on a daily basis.
