yes!!!
Water intoxication is a medical condition (also known as hyperhydration) in which an individual's intake of water is excessive. A person with two healthy kidneys can rid themselves of about 1.5 litres of water per hour at maximum filtration. The main consequences of overconsumption are hyponatremia (decreased plasma sodium, due to dilution) and suppression of the production of antidiuretic hormone. Extreme hyponatremia (with plasma sodium levels less than 100 mmol/L) frequently leads to cerebral edema, seizures, coma, and death.
First, the body's sodium levels drop, due to the loss of electrolytes when sweating (sodium is an electrolyte). Next, the excess water is absorbed into the bloodstream and eventually the lungs, and the victim will suffer from dyspnea and nausea. If allowed to progress without treatment, the victim will develop pulmonary adema, or filling of the lungs with a bodily fluid, and will face more serious complications.

Over the course of a day probably not. You will just be peeing a lot. If you drink this much very quickly you can suffer from water intoxication and you can die. A year or so ago a radio station held a contest to win a Wii. A lady with kids went on air and drank a bunch of water and didn't go to the bathroom - that was part of contest - nurses and other listeners were begging the station to stop the contest telling them she could die and they didn't listen. A few hours later, she did die.

You are drinking way too much water. This dilutes your blood's mineral balance and could actually kill you. A girl in my state died after drinking 6 gallons of water in one day. Moderate your water intake to no more than 1 gallon if you are excercising. If you are not excercising then you should drink less than that. Good Luck!

1/2 gallon is the recommended minimum. I have not heard a recommended maximum - but other persons answering here and to others' questions have said 1 gallon (4 liters) is about maximum.

Yes you are drinking too much! 1 gallon is plenty enough to drink during the day. If you drink too much you will flood your body and lungs. I would have to pee like crazy if I was you!

It may be a symptom of Diabetes Mellitus, like the other lady said.
It can be test for by a simple urine test, the best one being right after you get up inthe morning when it is most concentrated, esprcially since you drink so much water that it is diluted after that. They can use that to test for sugar in your urine, they just dip a stick and presto...

actually yes, a fraternity here in dallas got in trouble for a hazing incident that involved a young man drinking water. Some how his body went into shock and he went into a minor coma ...he came out of it because you cant die from being "over-hyrdated" but he had to wait until his body absorbed it all. weird huh.

It can be bad for you. Just make sure to have enough sodium to balance your fluids. Generally 2-3 gallons is not bad, but much more could be.
