Hops (used in beer) are nontoxic to humans but will kill Dogs.

Non-toxic means it won't be fatal if you ingest it. However, it might give you the trots, or it might make you throw up but you won't die from it.
What you probably have is an unflavored gelatin mix with a different label.
What gelatin mix is- like Jello- is actually horse and cow hoof's thats been liquified. Bon Appite'!

IF IT'S NON-TOXIC THAN IT WON'T HURT MAN OR BEAST BUT REMEMBER HORSE/ANIMALS CAN'T EAT OR DRINK EVERYTHING WE DO SO TOXIC OR NOT IT MAY MAKE THE ANIMAL SICK. ALTHOUGH IF IT HARDENS THE HORSE WON'T BE ABLE TO DRINK IT ANYWAY AND IF HE DRINKS IT AND THAN IT HARDENS YOU PROBABLY WILL HAVE A DEAD HORSE.

Depends on the chemicals contained in the product itself. There are certain chemicals that affect animals and do not affect humans and vice versa.
