Diego Sanchez thinks he's the best He ain't and My reasons are as followed how about yourselves?

Diego Sanchez will never hold the title...True or False? I say True cause of these guys...Best in This Order...give your guys and your opinion on my guys.

Diego Sanchez is really getting under my skin. He says he is the best, but really has not fought anybody good yet, with the exception of the fight last week. And he had all he could handle in that fight. I really would LOVE to see Matt Hughes teach this punk some humility very soon. anybody with me?

He's definitely not the best right now. But he has the potential to be a Matt Hughes type guy down the road. As far a BJ Penn, he doesn't scare me that much at 170. He's a 155 guy that got fat to move up in weight class. He didn't look the same after the layoff and 15 lbs of fat. I'd say that if Sanchez doesn't win the title in 5 years, he either got injured or can't beat Hughes or St. Pierre. He has the skills and stamina to be one of the best ever. He's the only TUF guy to have any real potential. Don't even come at me with Forrest Griffin. Stevenson is a joke. He would have lost to Luke, if the fight went another round. He dropped to 155 anyway. Riggs is an old-school one dimensional fighter. He might have been able to knockout Gracie back in the day, but fighting has changed since then. So yes, I think he will hold the title and have some great fights with St. Pierre.

Diego is a quack but man he can fight. 18-0-0 thats impressive and he has some tough competition, i dunno know why people say he hasnt had any. He beat Karo Parisyan,Jon Alessio,Nick Diaz,Kenny Florian, and Jorge Santiago.
The toughest would be Karo, but do u see the variety of styles he fought? u need to look closer. Jon Alessio and Jorge are Strikers, and Karo and Kenny Florian are submission artist. That shows that your well rounded if u do that, i dont care who u are.
Why isnt Matt Hughes number 1?
I dont think he can stand up with diego. Diego is best at using the opponents weakness if u didnt notice. Matt is stronger, i think he is the strongest welterweight out there. I think Matt would be able to outdo him on the ground. But Diego has the edges to cath matt, most people dont see that. Diego is a great fighter but he needs to go learn how to speak english, or spanish lol.

I boil mma down, hope this helps,we can argue about this later. I still dont know if matt can beat gsp.

I would put Diego above Riggs, Lytle and Stevenson. Matt Serra we will see, Serra is a great mat player, but has a weak chin.

Mayhem is awesome but hasn't faught a lot of real competition at his weight class. Trigg is retired, but Diego most assuredly could rear naked choke him.

I think Diego is better than Sean Sherk, muscle shark always looks great on paper but has suffered to real competition.

What makes Diego a problem for fighters is his relentless pace and good cardio. He stays on you with pressure the whole fight. The Karo fight impressed me, he was in real trouble and persevered. I was completely going for Karo.

Will Diego beat GSP, BJ Penn, or Matt Hughes, I don't think so. GSP and Matt would school him, BJ should be able to school him it just depends on which BJ shows up.

Matt: Too strong for Diego who normally relies on strength as part of his game plan, plus he fights at about the same pace as Diego and does not gas. Diego has been shown to be suceptable to take downs, which Hughes would do for sure with a big slam, Hughes would then control him and pound him out.

GSP: Probably would knock Diego out, would definately outstrike him and has a high paced "Riddum" he has the wind to stick with it, and is a way better striker. On the mat they are about equal, but GSP is a huge welterweight and would probably physically dominate Diego, ala how he did against Trigg.

BJ: Has the ability to knock him out, has the mat skills to do very well, but gas tank could be a problem for BJ, and BJ's wrestling is weak in comparison. Diego could potentially beat BJ the way he beat Karo, except BJ is a way better striker than Karo and could make quick work of Diego if he gets off.

I would say from your list I would go..

1. Matt Hughes
2. GSP.
3. BJ (needs to show his skills again)
4. Diego
5. Karo Parysian
6. Nick Diaz
7. Riggs
8. Joe Stevenson
9 Trigg
10. Sherk
11. Mayhem, he needs to prove himself.
12. Serra (he's been out of the game, great matwork but is normally a lightweight. Will be interested to see how he fights now)

After beating Caro last night, I would put Diego 3rd on the list. Penn and Sherk are going to the re-born lightweight division. Trigg is off doing commentary for Pride. Stevenson looked terrible in his UFC debut after winning TUF 2. Joe Riggs is young and might be able to step up, but not right now, plus he has to cut so much weight to fight at 170 he can't fight at his peak.. The rest of them could be beat by Sanchez. However, I would not give Diego much of a chance against GSP and virtually no chance vs. Hughes. Diego is young and seems to be continually improving, but so is GSP and Hughes appears to be at his absolute peak right now and seems close to unbeatable. After beating Parisian, Sanchez will probably get a title shot between the winner of Hughes vs. GSP 2. He can't beat either one right now. Maybe in a few years, but not now. I would consider putting Josh Koschek on the list. He looked great on Ultimate Fight Night last night. If he can continue to develop his stand-up game, he could be a force at 170.

He has a 75% percent chance at beating Penn, and a 50% chance at St. Pierre, and a 15% at Hughes.

Diego has more potential as young mixed martial artist than any other in his wieght class, give it a few years and some more experience and I think he will give hughes and GSP a hellava fight, I think it would be a good fight and I would love to watch it but the weight division is stacked with up and comers and I think deigo takes great care of himself and could stand up to anyone with his amount of experience and lots of people who have been in the game alot longer, but yeah hughes and GSP are really his test. when Joe asked him if he was ready for a title shot he said I am when dana white says I am because he is a smart kid with alot potential who is definailty one his way to being a contender for the belt

Diego Sanchez is pretty good, but I don't think he can beat Hughes. I also think that Karo Parisyan should've won Ultimate Fight Night 6. While Sanchez was definitely won the three round after Karo got tired, I think Karo won the first two rounds.

I agree with some of u guys, Diego after biting caro got my vote and i was darn empress, he is evolving and getting skilled and stronger and in my opinion he could face matt(in future) and get a victory, there is a unic hunger and will about Diego:
