I had a baby almost 2 years ago and when I got pregnant I weighed about 130lbs. I now weigh 190lbs and I need to take off the 50lbs in 3 months for a wedding. I just joined a gym and I would like some advice on what kinds of exercises/machines I should be doing to acheive the most results in a 3 month period. Also, what are some of the best foods to eat while dieting?

use the stepper & the treadmill EVERY day for at least 45 mins to an hour. In case you drink soda, stop it right away and go for water or watered-down juices. Quit on fried food. Eat lots of veggies. If you need a snack during the day, take carrots, cut them in bite-sizes and chew those. ALWAYS drink lots of fluids. Take 1 day per week where you take nothing but fluids ALL day. For example grapefruitjuice or orangejuicefor breakfast, any soup for lunch (try not to use too much salt in it, better yet no salt at all, use lots of herbs instead), tomatoe/ or carrotjuice for dinner. In between as much juice/water as you want to. Do a fruit-Day all day. Go easy on bananas - they have lots of calories. Better yet watermelon, no cantaloupe, either. Cucumber is a good veggie, too. Have a luke-warm glass of water in the morning right when you get up, it kills the hunger. Try to do situps in the morning before taking your shower. Hey, no one said it was going to be easy, but you have your goal no go for it, girl!!! Good luck!

Your best bet is probably the treadmill, start off walking and up your speed some every few days (4 or 5) to the point where you are running, once you get that far see if you can improve on your running distance...Challenge yourself and you'll see reults...Remember to stay hydrated however.

Also add in some lifting (not heavy if you don't want to) to gain muscle, you may not drop a full fifty though as adding muscle will add some minor weight back as muscle outweighs fat.

While there are claims to the best foods to eat while dieting, what really works is just portion control, you get to eat what you want without giving things up such as cake, etc...

You should check out women's health magazine, they have an online zine and i think you would benefit from all the diet and exercise tips they have.
have you ever considered combining diet pills, exercise and a low fat eating?
what i did was i started taking fat burners and eating zone perfect nutrition bars for breakfast and lunch with small fresh fruit snacks in between meals and a low fat meal for dinner, like chicken breast with veggies.. you know, that type of stuff... eliminate sweet drinks, green tea and water are the only thing that are really good for you. i lost a lot of weight on the eliptical trainer and swimming..

they give you a great description on foods and exercise on womenshealthmag.com
its the best.

You should have thought about that a long time ago. Losing 50 lbs in 3 months is very unhealthy. You should be losing about 1-2 lbs. per week. You can read every other question in here to find out what to do because every other person is asking how to lose weight.
