This page says that Walney Fun Fair no longer happens (along with a lot of other things! What an exasperating list! Why doesn't he have pictures of the things? He does have pics elsewhere, though)

I once stayed for a few days on Walney, visiting Furness and the Lakes. I loved it! Might be back someday! I'm sorry I can't help with the Fair, though.

Been through it once, but didnt stay, visiting my cousin in HMP Haverigg
one of my mates' ex used to live there, he said it was rough as fook and a right shithole.

My sisters ex husband comes from there. Can't ask him though cos we haven't spoken to each other for years.
