i tend to pick with my bf and call him blondie, dirty blonde, hobo man, and funny stuff when we are joking. but otherwise i just call him my big cuddly teddy bear, baby, or sweetie. what have u called someone? or heard before that u thought was crazy or stupid? just asking. thank you.

I call my man Stinky Cheese because he loves to eat cheese and he's a butcher so sometimes he comes home stinkin like fish and meat!! I think it's pretty original, in fact I've never heard it used as a pet name before!
He is actually going to get a piece of cheese with fumes coming off of it as a tattoo behind his ear for me...

Once while driving along my son and I heard someone dedicate a song on the radio to their "Pookie Pooh." We thought it was hysterical! We started using it to tease each other and later it turned into our own phrase for affection. No, my son and I are NOT LOVERS! Silly people. I just thought it was a funny tale to recall.

We saw it in a Calvin & Hobbes strip, but we picked up "bitsy pookums" and use it when we're being silly.
We've been married 14 years, and I can't think of the last time I addressed my wife by her given name, nor she mine.
