If I found the Lamp of the Genni, that doesn't mean I found the Genni, per se... it could be the Genie from Aladdin that's been freed. However, if I were lost in the desert and found a lamp with a genie that grants me one wish, my wish would be to be transported to a perfectly tropical, private island of my own with only one way to get there, and nobody would know about it unless I told him/ her.

Why be greedy? I live in a desert now (which some call paradise), except for the occasional monsoon which darkens the sky every day at 4pm. I could exchange my desert for desert, or make it sandbox and be lost in the city instead. So if I'm ok with the desert, I'd ask for waves of water, a large beach umbrella, an ice cold pepsi and a harem of cute joke tellers for counterpoint. Say, I've got that now!

I would wish to be taken home. I would not want to be in a desert. I spent almost two years living on the edge of one. I was miserable.

I would wish to go back to being 18 and doing it all different. I would have stayed in college, not gotten my GF pregnant, not gotten married, and not been a divorced father of two with no education by the age of 23.

I would wish for anything that I wish for to come true.
That way I have infinite wishes.
Plus, if I wish for something but change my mind later, I can wish to make things the way they were before I made the wish!

an all-wishes-fulfilling lamp. sounds nice, but not real. i think i would need something real. so I'll just keep my faith and if somehow would be possible i would use that lamp in good purposes.
