Lingonberry Butter

I don't know where you can buy fresh lingonberries, but Ikea sells lingonberry jelly so you can make lingonberry butter yourself. Just buy some lingonberry jelly or jam and some good quality butter and you're ready to go! Soften the butter by leaving it on the counter in a bowl. Then add some lingonberry jam or jelly to it and mix it up until it's thoroughly combined. Then take a sheet of plastic wrap and lay it on the counter. Spoon the lingonberry butter onto one end the plastic wrap, about 2 inches away from the end. Fold that end on top of the butter and roll it up. Twist the ends and form into an even sausage shape. Place in fridge until ready to use. Just untwist it, cut the amount of circles you need and place the rest back into the fridge to use later. You have just made what is called a compound butter. You can add anything to butter while it's softened, mix it up, follow the directions I just told you and make you're own special butters! Try it with herbs for potatoes, or crumbled bleu cheese for steaks or honey to put on top of buttermilk biscuits! The possibilities are endless! Happy cooking!

You could try the food shop at the IKEA in Schaumburg. Also, the Swedish Bakery in Andersonville might be a good bet.
