Be yourself, don't compromise what you believe in. Do lots of extracurricular activities, but make sure you keep your grades up. Make the most of the years that you have there and respect your teachers.

Join as many extracurricular activities as possible but don't sacrifice getting good grades for doing so. The more stuff you can say your involved with help your college application look more appealing to admissions counselors.
When the time comes, join the post secondary option enrollment for college while still in high school. This will give you a head start in college and you can graduate college sooner.
Finally, study, study, study, and most importantly, have fun. High School could possibly be the best time in your life and it only happens once so enjoy it while you can otherwise you will look back and regret everything.

one of ur goals for high school should be to do well enough to get into a good college.
to succeed...be well-rounded as much as possible!
1) be in as many AP/honors classes as possible
2) do sports or dance or play a musical instrument
3) join as many different clubs as u can (i was in 5 or 6)...definitely something academic (high gpa required), something fun (drama club), something for the community (like a club that helps out the homeless or orphans), something for the environment (ecology club)...any additional...a lot of high school clubs don't really require too much time.
4) consider volunteering somewhere every week or every 2 weeks (hospital or convalescent home)
5) consider taking summer school at an university classes one year
6) try also to win contests/awards
7) be on the good side with at least 3 teachers...let them get to know u & show them how great u r. u need references later.
it's getting more & more competitive, so do as much as u can and try to do more things than other people (i.e. don't just do what everyone else did...no doing minimumal amount of work)
about socializing- don't worry about what other people say or what click u r in. it doesn't matter after ur done with high school...and other people don't know what they're talking about anyway.

Be yourself and get involved in things tht interest you. Don't worry about what is popular. I was a cheerleader and I really wish I would have done some of the other clubs instead of devoting all my time to pom pons and tumbling. Don't date anyone you wouldn't want to marry you never know what you might endup doing that you hadn't planned on. And if you do that then remember in Gods eyes you are married. I guess the best tip I can give is remember Your body is a temple so treat it like one.

firstly, there are in all probability going to be many human beings there that are purely as puzzled as you're, so do no longer sweat that lots. while you're shy in assembly new human beings do no longer worry, all and sundry is whilst they get disturbing, in case you haven't any longer made many associates with the aid of the tip of the 1st 2 weeks seem in to teams to connect (drama & band) communities. those inventive communities have a tendency to welcome outsiders somewhat immediately and are particularly some the main accepting (and purely carry out with the band little ones, do no longer worry pertaining to to the tool). Now approximately what to positioned on... no longer something it is attempting to make a assertion, you opt for to seem semi-sought after casual. Being from a private college you have got slightly an earnings over different pupils, do no longer enable that stop you. Be smarter than all and sundry else its no longer likely to split you lots that folk won't such as you, purely attempt to maintain it below suck up stages. attempt to have relaxing... and stable luck!

I am sure that all adults told you to study hard and get the best grades you can but also make it memorable. You will always look back on your high school years. And remember that the embarrassing and the bad things you do are always remember while the good can be forgotten quickly so be careful on what you want people to remember you by.

Don't slack, if you wanna go to college try to get decent grades for a better chance at getting in. Believe me if I could change anything about highschool I wouldn't have slacked so much.
Also try out for sports and clubs, enjoy your time there and have fun. They say they're some of the best years of your life and you don't want to waste them.

Get involved! Join a sport and as many clubs as you have time for without putting your homework aside. You'll make lots of friends who have the same interests as you and you'll have a great time! Besides- extracurricular activities is one of the top things colleges look for!
