I have nothing against Islam itself.
I have issues with the people who think they're representing the "real" Islam.
That just makes me mad.
How they kill innocent civilians and then say they're doing it for God.
But every nation does that or has done that.
But... there's no real excuse for the killing of innocent civilians.
You fight the enemy, not the people surrounding the enemy.
Also, there are many Muslims that feel the West is so wrong and out of whack but yet they live in Canada or the States and appreciate the freedom and liberties. But take it for granted. I mean, if you want to fight or defend your country, don't take advantage of the one you're living in.
And i have a problem with ignorance. The ignorance of those who say they're fighting on behalf of God when really they're just bringing on destruction to themselves.
My advice:
Unite your own people first before trying to convert/revert the world.
And may i end this post with the fact that i am a Muslim?
I've studied the history of Christianity and Judaism and they've been repeat offenders of fighting on behalf of God and going to war for the justice they've made up in their heads. Think the Crusades, both Iraq wars, funding of Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, the building of Hezbollah as a result of Israeli invasion but then the audacity to want them disarmed because Israelis viewed them as a threat, the one-sided representation of the American media, ect.
Seriously,....what i have against certain Muslims is on the exact same level of what i have against certain Jews and Christians.
But do i have anything against the religions themselves?
Absolutely none.
Most religions are peaceful in nature. And most are interconnected.
And one last thing, i truly do believe my religion is peaceful. You can't read certain verses of the Quran and disregard others. You can't pay attention to one story but forget the circumstances in which they occurred. I don't support war. I don't support evil. I don't support terrorism.
What i do support is justice.
When someone hits you, you have full rights to hit back.
Read the Quran.
When you kill one person in cold blood, it's as though you killed the entire world.
And you are never to fight those who have not transgressed against you.
But nobody follows the Quran anymore.
Just their version of it.

After reading all the posts, it is so clear that they have no idea what Islam is, the problem is that they link all the terrorism to Islam , while there are non Muslim terrorist in every country, terrorism is something invented by the west , they started it and they believe it, I believe that most of the terrorist attacks that took place all around the world are not done by real Muslims, it is just a plot against them , to make the world hate them more and more, A true Muslim cannot do that, A true Muslim (as said by Prophet Mohamed) should not harm an old man, or a child or a woman and even a tree, those terrorists are invented by the west, and even if it was true , they are brainwashed and even payed to by the real terrorists who want to ruin the image of Islam.

I have nothing against Muslims. I don't care for fanatacism from anyone!
WOW - I am amazed at the voluminous amount of miopia that exists in this world. Christians get up in arms and start to argue their beliefs as concrete fact. Muslims are doing the same. Bring in the Jews, Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. and let all of you "duke" it out.
for those of you Christians that think that your religion has never done anything out of ill-will, do a web search for something called the Spanish Inquisition... You might find some interesting stories about your "buddy", Tomás de Torquemada, he was a real humanitarian.
I digress, terrorists are horrible, but most muslims are not.
We all live here...

The clergy are supposed to be God's representatives and teach what is good for human beings. We hear 'fatwas' pronounced by clergy who rule some Muslim nations. The fatwas seek death of human beings. How can a religious leader think of killing other human beings? Religious intolerance is practised by Muslims in power. They fast during the holy month of Ramadan in Arabia. It is an Islamic practice. Why do they impose it on non-Muslims in Saudi Arabia? Why can't the people of other religions be allowed to eat in day time during Ramadan?
I agree that there are good Muslims but their rulers get more publicity and their deeds are well known to people in foreign countries.
In recent times their people are resorting to killing innocents which is not allowed by Quran. The leaders of the Islamic nations do not condemn such acts nor rein in the law breakers. It is well known fact that some Islamic countries give refuge to terrorists and train them.

Where to begin.Right now in the world there are a lot of wars and conflicts going on. Palistine, Sudan, Iraq, Afganistan, Bombings in Russia, London,Attacks in the US in New York, Indonesia, the Phillipeans, the border of India , and to many other small ones to list.In every case the same people are involved. Guess who ? Muslims. This is a religion that always claims to be oppressed yet always seems willing to kill anyone that has a different religion. It is the most oppressive THING to happen in the world since Adolf Hitler was around.Islam is a world class nightmare that claims hundreds of thousands of lifes every year. But as long as you good neighbor keeps telling you his relgion is peaceful you believe him. It's not a religion as much as a mental disorder. The funny part is that now scientist have discovered that Allah was an ancient moon god that Mohammed borrowed a name from to get people to follow him.The guy was a nut, and now he has produced a billion more nuts.If you were to read up on this topic it would scare the hell out of you .Read the news story attached for a good view of what Islam offers. It's by the BBC ,one of the worlds most reputable news services.

i respect their belief system, the Koran is a beautiful book of verse and prose, a thoughtful structure for a way of life. i have not but one problem with it. the ways that some imam have construed the beautiful work of the Koran and made it in to hate and control. shame on those that lead young impressionable people that hardly know what life is about to such a hatred of life that they would blow themselves up. Islam and Muslim faith is beautiful, but a few in power have seized domination by threat of eternal punishment or eternal pleasure.
i don't have a problem with true Islam, i would let them believe and live as there doctrine decrees, but i know that i would not be allow to practice my religion and speak openly of my faith in their country, i suppose that Americans as a whole are tolerant, and some countries i would be being pummeled with stones.

They have a violent history, and are currently at the center of just about every armed conflict in the world. They also have a boatload of extremists all over the world that are constantly plotting to blow themselves up in an attempt to frighten and disrupt civilian soft targets.
I don't particularly care why they do what they do. All I know is, their religion preaches violence and intolerance, and this is evidenced by their culture, and by their behavior. They are a plague on the human race, and they deserve everything that comes to them.
Here's a nice quote by Sam Harris...
"The young man boards the bus as it leaves the terminal. He wears an overcoat. Beneath his overcoat, he is wearing a bomb. His pockets are filled with nails, ball bearings, and rat poison. The bus is crowded and headed for the heart of the city.
The young man takes his seat beside a middle-aged couple. He will wait for the bus to reach its next stop. The couple at his side appears to be shopping for a new refrigerator. The woman has decided on a model, but her husband worries that it will be too expensive. He indicates another one in a brochure that lies open on her lap. The next stop comes into view. The bus doors swing. The woman observes that the model her husband has selected will not fit in the space underneath their cabinets. New passengers have taken the last remaining seats and begun gathering in the aisle. The bus is now full. The young man smiles. With the press of a button he destroys himself, the couple at his side, and twenty others on the bus. The nails, ball bearings, and rat poison ensure further casualties on the street and in the surrounding cars. All has gone according to plan.
The young man’s parents soon learn of his fate. Although saddened to have lost a son, they feel tremendous pride at his accomplishment. They know that he has gone to heaven and prepared the way for them to follow. He has also sent his victims to hell for eternity. It is a double victory. The neighbors find the event a great cause for celebration and honor the young man’s parents by giving them gifts of food and money.
These are the facts. This is all we know for certain about the young man. Is there anything else that we can infer about him on the basis of his behavior? Was he popular in school? Was he rich or was he poor? Was he of low or high intelligence? His actions leave no clue at all. Did he have a college education? Did he have a bright future as a mechanical engineer? His behavior is simply mute on questions of this sort, and hundreds like them. Why is it so easy, then, so trivially easy—you could almost bet your life on it easy—to guess the young man’s religion?"
