I knw where my passion lies and it's not at my current job. I have big dreams and a passion for Dance. My long term goal is to start a ncity wide non-profit dance program for inner city students. As it stands I work for a dance teacher and I'm learning all that I can about dance. I myself have been dancing for a long time. I m in my mid-twenties w/ kids. I want to go for it, but I m not sure the time is right. On the other hand I don't want to miss my opportunity. What should I do?

Have you done your research? How will your program be funded? Do you have investors or grant money? Do you have a facility in mind?

Do you have someone to help you manage the books and all the business aspects of your program?

Do you have other people in mind to help you teach the dance classes?

Before you go out on your own, make sure that you are ready to answer all of those questions, and more.

Check out all your options before you quit your job. See what it takes to start the non-profit dance program - what kind of grants are available - things like that. What you are considering is very commendable. Good for you.

If you never try you'll regret it. Research everything you need to know and give it a try. I would. Otherwise you might miss out in life. If you don't succeed at least you'll know it wasn't meant to be.

Definately go for it.. if you try hard and do well, you -and- your kids might all have a better future. Plus if you don't you'll go mad looking back on it later and regretting it!
