I have never been to Mexico and don't know first hand the living circumstances but have been told that they can be extremely harsh and inadequate to raise a family in. I don't blame her for wanting to give her child a better life here in America. The Church's purpose from the very beggining was to give sanctuary for the people so it is a good place to go with her son and do support her there. Then comes the big BUT. She has done a few illegal things and should take the consequenses I'm just not so sure that the consequeses should be that she be sent back to Mexico. This country was built on people seeking refuge and sanctuary from their home countries. How can we now say that no one else can come and make a home in this great nation. On the other hand America should not let just anyone enter our country and make a home here. If a person is a criminal in their own land then they should not be allowed to enter our great nation. I'm talking about the thieves, murderers, drug dealers, and abusers of children. Send them packing and let the good upstanding soon to be citizens stay that want to live, learn and love in Our GREAT NATION!!!

She is an illegal criminal hiding behind her anchor baby. She was arrested and deported before and still sneaked back across the border again. She was using a false social security card ,again a criminal act,and when found out ran into a store front church. She is a liar and a criminal. She doesn't have courage, shes just some illegal looking for sympathy. She has done nothing to be proud of,and using her anchor child to hind behind. Her and her anchor child need to be deported.
You need to get an education and then perhaps you would learn that "dats" ,"wif" and "da" are not real words,no matter how many times you use them..

This would never be tolerated in any other country. Not even Mexico. The Government would shoot them. Period. They broke the law coming here and now they feel they have the same rights, and claim hardship because they had a child in this country that they shouldn't have ever been in. Well, guess what. TOO BAD. I'm sick of being stolen from. MY tax dollars fund the welfare programs, schooling, Medicare, Housing assistance, etc. and these programs are already underfunded. If I chose to, I could send whatever dollars to relief fund by my choice. AND I guarantee you that many of the dollars are spent on people that shouldn't even be here. By now there should be enough illegals here to send back to start their own country.

Good grief. If you are her spokeswoman, she is screwed. You are a walking advertisement for why so many people are getting fed up with the illegals.

First, learn the language. What she is doing may be noble, but you can't tell by your story because you speak like you just climbed out of a garbage can.

There is only one thing that I don't get about the illegal situation. You are lauding the lady for having courage and fighting the goverment, but someone please tell me why the hispanics don't show the same courage in their home countries. They don't fight to make life better there, if you can't stand up to your own governments, where do you get off trying to piss on mine?

In principle I can understand and support her cause. But when it comes right down to it, she's illegal. There are ways to get here legally. Why not do it right? Plus the usage of sanctuary is not recognized by the US government. That is an old concept that is not used. Is she like quasimodo or something?

Your inability to type, complete a thought, or otherwise communicate in ENGLISH is one reason I support "burning da church down 100%." Okay, Honey? She is a criminal and a coward using her son "for da right ta be wit her son." What kind of Bulls*** is that!? Please go back to "May-hee-co" and come back when you give a **** about this country enough to follow the rules, the law, learn the language, and assimilate into the culture. Thank you and good night.....PUTA!

Nope, don't support her at all.She is a criminal. Not only for entering this country illegally twice, but also for social security fraud. If we don't deport her,it is an open invitation for all the other illegals that are criminals to do the same thing. Our churches will turn into flop houses for those trying to evade the law.Send her and her kid packing and soon.I would say she belongs in jail, but then we would still have to support her and her child.

As far as I know this woman is here for economic reasons not for fear of being persecuted in her own land. We are a nation of laws or we are a lawless nation. The bigest problem is right there in the handle you used; Mexican/American. Nothing wrong with having pride in ones heritage but you are either an American or your not. You need to decide which you want to be, ya can't be both.

I think she should have been deported already. I suspect the ICE doesn't want to give her the attention she is looking for and is waiting for her to get tired of living in a church or for the groups supporting her to get tired of hanging out.

She was deported before and came back, which in itself is a felony. She was convicted of criminal social security fraud. She should be deported. She isn't showing any courage at all, they found her and issued her with another deportation order. She knows she'll never be legal no matter what if she is deported now, a second time.
