I'm trying to go months without no meats, no sweets, no pasta, no rice, no bread, & no cereals, just fruits and veggies. Because everytime I eat the meats and other carbs I don't get enough fruits and veggies and I'm getting more and more obese. I'm 5'11, 223 lbs I'm a male. I'm trying to go on a fruit and veggie diet, but it's hard. Because I crave good carbs and bad and good meats and bad, and I want to stop. Anything you can do to help me?

what you are doing is crazy and is really going to mess up your metabolism.

I suggest you read the book Body For Life. It teaches you how to eat right and exercise. Good luck

Hey Randy can you afford a personal fitness trainer? Look, you need carbs, and you need meat, but wehave to find the right mixture for you. The way your going now you will get sick soon.

If you can not afford a personal fitness trainer or membership to a fitness trainer, and not knowing if you have any medical problems, I recommend the following:

1. Forget the normal 3 meals a day.

2. Start with small meals 4 times a day. Your last meal should be a minimum of 4 hours before you go to bed.

3. Keep the fruit and vegetables, but you must add some time of grain food and meat. Go heavy on skinless chicken, turkey and fish.

4. Cardio...and I mean cardio. If your not in shape then start slow on a cycle machine, etc.

Go with that for 4 to 6 weeks.

why are you cutting out meat? meat is not a carb. it is full of protein and your body is probably screaming for that right now. lean cuts of beef are ok in moderation. so is tuna and other fish. you can eat a good meal of broccoli and a lean steak with a baked potato and that will be a very healthy choice. you dont need to cut out carbs COMPLTELY.

one more thing, those cravings eventually do pass. but you cannot put yourself on such a strict diet like that that you will feel so deprived. when i was heavy into my weight loss regimen (i was over 200 pounds), i still allowed myself ONE cheat day and for one meal only once every 2 weeks. the experts even say that if you lead a strict diet and stick to it, 1 oz of dark chocolate a day will not work against you. you may also want to cut back on exercise until you get your cravings in check since exercise can make you ravenous! also drink tons of water. you NEED willpower! you need something to focus on that will give you strength to keep going. hope this helped, it worked for me...i currently weigh 116.

and JU, you totally misused that idiom "a dime a dozen". that actually means that something is PLENTIFUL or COMMON which fit and healthy people in america are not really all that easy to come by except maybe in hollywood lol.

It's is that wonderful thing called will power. There is a reason that healthy people are a dime a dozen in this country. It is hard to stop eating all our yummy food. But I guess unless people want to die young like so many other fat and lazy Americans, they will just have to put down the fatty, carby, sugary foods.

I do believe that is called withdrawl symtoms and they do go away if you hang in there. Drink lots of water, so much it fills you up so much that you can't drink or eat any more.
