I'll give you the low down on the LAPD - they are set up to fail from the start - they are short some 10,000 officers - WHY? So when the shitt hits the fan they can blame their diminished numbers - they have the strictest selection process in the world, very qualfied candidates get thrown to the wasteside because they feel that they have an unrealistic idea of what the job will be like once they are on the street - so instead of having 10,000 cops on the street who are qualified they would rather have 8800 who are over worked - why not raise the starting salary to $70,000? 6 grand a month to be a cop? you'll have your choice of who you want in the academy then - they blame their reduced force whenever there is a problem with the city

There are many good men and women working for the LAPD. I imagine there are also a few fools. I think that works for virtually any police department.

considering i have never been harrassed by the LAPD and they have always responded when i have needed them. I LOVE THEM! now i have heard complaints from friends about harrassment stories, but they always came from someone who was doing something wrong in the first place!!
