Supposedly, marijuana is not physically addictive but it can be psychologically addictive.

You should check into drug abuse rehab programs, Alcoholics Anonymous, and similar programs for addictive behaviors. You need to stop using it and figure out why you use/abuse it. Usually, drug abuse is a sign that something else in your life isn't going well and you use the drugs to mask the pain. You could be depressed, bored, lonely...any of these things can cause you to turn to drugs to make you forget what's really bothering you. You need to take yourself out of situations where you are exposed to drugs or have access to them (even if that means finding new friends that don't use and "abandoning" ones that do use), and find other things in life to occupy your time and mind. When you are happy enough, and busy enough, there won't be time or room in your life for pot.

I was i was "culturally" addicted to pot. . . I couldn't have quit. . . it was my way of life. I worked swiss chalet and i would always be stoned. . . i went three straight years where i smoked weed all day every day. . . hell i'd wake up in the night and blaze a little. . . as fun as those days were, i didn't realize it was ruining my life. It almost did ruin my life but thats another story. To simplify this conclusion i will say that your best bet would be to take control of yourself and tell yourself "no more". . . life is amazing without marijuana. . .

P.S Some may say that "as long as it doesn't affect you mentally or physically. . . blah blah blah" but they are clue less. . . ok it will never cease to affect you physically and although you may not notice because it is gradual and varies in extremity, it does affect you mentally as well, sometimes as much as physically. . .

chemically pot isn't addictive. Mentally you think you are. You have to start with a change of lifestyle and the firm decision to stop smoking if you really want to..you'd be better off if you just sell it.

Stop using it. If you are unable to do it alone go to one of the 12 step meetings. N/A deals with all drugs and including alcohol as it is a drug so this one is very all emcompassing. If you are religious you might see if your church offers the Rick Warren 12 step meetings from the bible.
