Almost all armed conflicts today are Islamic. This is because the 1400 year old practice of Jihad, which has never ceased, has taken the spotlight again through the efficient vehicle of terror.

Jihad was the dominant force in the world during the 800 year reign of the Islamic empires. The duty of a Muslim to kill the kafir and spread Islam (Jihad) worked well while the sword was the dominant weapon.

However, with the rise of civlization, Jihad couldnt beat the higher technology of the Europeans and the Islamic Turks kept losing to the higher tech-Euros.

Islam always produced superior numbers and endless hords of brainwashed Jihadists but Islam also suffocated technological advance. So, it was only a couple hundred years ago that Jihad fell off the front page.

The technology or terror has put Jihad back on the map, and its here to stay as long as Islam is because Islam has always compelled Jihad.

No. The terror would not end. Even if the entire earth became Islamic, such terror would still proceed between the different Islamic factions, just like it does today.

The only way to end it is to end Islam.

No. It will be the beginning of Terror. Because the Islamic people are not content with being a faith exercising their religious right as separate from government. And if they were given everything they wanted, they would be the state church of those countries. Those that proved to be infidels would be persecuted as the persecutions progressed in the Dark Ages with the Roman Catholic Church against all other faiths, especially Christian Protestants.

From what I have gathered from both the extremists here, and the so-called 'peaceful' Muslims, they will be content when they can be sanctified to exercise punishments for anyone not conforming to their own religion.

No, they overtook the horn of Africa and divided it up between 3 waring fractions of Islamic terriorists. Kony a self proclaimed prophet and mystic. kidnapped 25,000 children and the girls he used as sex slaves and the boys the fractions capture they trained to fight. Now they have wars and bloodshed continually.
Durfur is an example of Islam winning the war. They now have 1.3 million slowing starving to death in prison camps and refuse to let aid in to help the people. They just want them to die.
The UN granted him amensty if he would just stop the killing and he refused.They won the war, everyone was ready to convert and they kept up the killing when ask why they said, we want this land for us. We want them all to die. Chopping off arms and legs and heads. They stiffle creativey. No invention to date has came out of Islam. Americans invented the car, plane, train, computer and I am sure could invent something that didn't need oil. Hopefully they will. So far that is the only thing the have and The Shell oil company in USA asked if they could drill there and gave them a bunch of money. Or they wouldn't have that.

Do you even know what they are fighting about? Jihad is over. Islam is not trying to convert people anymore in violent ways. Your statement would be like me saying the Catholics are going to take over the world because of the Crusades.

It's not that Islam wants to convert the world, on the contrary. The Arab people are tired of America's Expansionism of Democracy. America is actually a Republic, and that's a little different than a Democracy.

The Arabs want their land back. The land that was once Persia, is now Israel.

The exact meaning of "Jihad" is "effort". Thus, in Islam, "to carry out jihad" is "to show effort, to struggle". The Prophet Muhammad explained that "the greatest jihad is the one a person carries out against his lower soul". What is meant by "lower soul" here is selfish desires and ambitions.

Assessed from the Qur'anic point of view, the word "jihad" can also mean a struggle carried out on intellectual grounds against those who oppress people, treat them unjustly, subject them to torture and cruelty and violate legitimate human rights. The purpose of this struggle is to bring about justice, peace and equality.

Apart from these ideological and spiritual meanings, struggle in the physical sense is also considered as "jihad". As this makes clear, committing suicide, and thus carrying out suicide attacks, and causing the deaths of thousands of innocent people while doing so, is a total violation of Islamic morality. God says in the Qur'an that it is a sin to put an end to one's own life. For that reason, it is quite impossible for someone who believes in God and says he abides by the Qur'an to do such a thing. The only people who can do such things are those who have a very mistaken perception of religion, have no idea of true Qur'anic morality, fail to use their reason and conscience, are under the influence of atheist ideologies, and who have been brainwashed with feelings of hatred and revenge. Everybody must oppose such actions

I agree with your comments fully. Just tell me one thing.Most dogs have a bent tail. Suppose you want to straighten it. You tie it with a strait rod and leave it for some time. You open and you will find the tail bent, as it was. By yielding to them you will be inviting more trouble. They will attack you more vehemently. The only language they understand is retaliation just as Israelis have done to Hezbollah. They may be boasting of their supposed victory now. When they want to reconstruct all they have last it will take them ages and valuable resources to do so. This is where it will hurt them and they will think hard before embarking upon another misadventure.
