The guy i like seems to show interest in me but dont know if he likes me or not. As hes quite shy. Hell go out of his way to help me with work like if i have a query he will go out of his way to get the file i need and tells me about his family life(parents going through bad patch) but sometimes e he is hot and cold

How to tell boy likes you
Usually guys want to look, ie stare but can't help it... think bunny in headlights...
Touch... may try and tickle, hug, play wrestle and trip you over in say a foam party, show you how to play a sport if give touching opp... etc
But most likely will try and see you a lot and be wearing thinking if you find out you will hate him, stop being his friend, make all your combined mates not like him, get him labelled a perve, think that’s all he wanted, consider it him insulting you for thinking your standards were lower enough to consider him...
May try teasing you or trying to get you to chase him like a prank
Maybe tense as want to say something to get you to like him or go out or kiss him, but no idea what and scared one slip up and that it he's history...
Solution... if you like him you need to show you wont bite if he comes near, be forward, encourage more touching... its often like a guy testing you to see if its safe... ie if you let him you like him.
Ask him out, say to a cinema and rest on him to encourage him to put his arm areound you or whispering he can if he wants...
etc
Also he may try and impress you...
Of be helpful, try and solve problems etc.
If cold he is probably worried about loosing u as a mate like the last girls he liked

you never know...all you can do is waitin and let the time prove that to you...you assume some guy really LOVES you but you end up sleepin with him in bed or cops would find you in a very remote area...just be careful and wait up and don't rush it he'll tell you if he really likes you and DO NOT take the first step coz it's gonna harm you later on and you'll loose him

you can't know unless he tells you. he may be someone who takes a long time over things. don't invest too much emotionally but enjoy his attention and see what happens
