I'm 30 and I fell off the changing table when I was about 4 months old--true story--my mom called my Dad crying hysterically--they took me to the doctor and he said that I was perfectly fine because babies brains are soft or something like that...I'm was always a straight A student, now I'm a Teacher and I work at a Magazine, and I think I turned out alright--but dont ask that co-worker I cursed out 2 days ago.

Take the baby to the hospital. They may do an MRI. That's what happened to my neice. She is fine today. Yes, babies brains are soft and malleable, but their skulls are so soft, and there is a risk of brain injury, even a mild one, which can have an impact on the developing baby's brain and it may not show itself until later. On the other hand, the baby may be one of the lucky ones and turn out to be fine. Either way, it's good to get the baby checked for your own peace of mind.

Have him checked immediately, I have a friend who is under child abuse investigation for an old bone fracture in her baby, and she had the same thing happen but thet baby was "fine" to her too, and now she doesn't have her baby, and because there was no incident report at the doctors confirming the fall, they say she is the one who caused the fracture. Better to be safe than sorry.
(she is fighting it in court to get her baby back)!

Don't mess around.

Be thanksful that babys bounce!!! They will fall off many more things than the changing table in their life time. I am a mother of 2 and my second one seems to fall off of everything..lol..

He's probably fine.

You could take him to the doctor for a check up just in case...

but most importantly...NEVER LEAVE A BABY UNATTENDED AND NEVER HAVE THE BABY ON ANY CHANGING TABLE WITHOUT A HAND ON HIM/HER AT ALL TIMES.

I'm sure at somepoint in everyone's life they fell off something or were dropped once when they were a baby. I'm sure your baby is fine, but if you are still worried I would consult your doctor.
