Yea I think they are. I have seen much worse questions and answers than mine and still had stuff removed. Half of communication is in the way you say it, such as voice inflection or body languauge. They can't hear or see any of that on a computer so things are taken differently by different individuals.

Maybe they did it on accident. That sounds kind of stupid to do that. I've seen a question that used the "A" word, not being used to describe an animal, and I think it never got bumped. Yahoo is too irregular with the way they regulate their site.

Yahoo doesn't regulate their site. They depend on all the users to do it. So yes, of course it will be spotty and inconsistent.
I think this is a total evasion of responsibility.

That happened to me twice. I thought.
Then I realized, that they hadn't bumped them. The asker got SO many answers, that MY answer was not on the first page . It was on the second page of answers.
Always check, below the askers question to see how many answers they got. Your answer is probably still there.
Just on page 2 or 3.

Look, if you are going to use thier service you gotta play
by their rules. And if you are out of line and they scold you
oh well, its their service they are providing you with, it is
a luxury not a right. Just like when kids live with their parents
gotta follow their rules its their house.
And you are in yahoos house , be respectful for gods sake.

It's like a committee. Each person has their own concept of how to judge content, so of course things will be somewhat irregular.

I wonder if they bump people's opinions about Yahoo itself if they are negative.

I would love to know what the answer was that was so offensive, as I see many answers that are quite offensive that are still there.
