I was reading an article on Yahoo about a boy who got perfect scores on the SAT and ACT. They went on to say that only about 30 people a year get perfect scores on the SAT, which surprised me because I thought perfect scores where pretty common. I got a perfect score on the verbal section (I took the old 1600 version) and I wanted to know how common it is to get a perfect score on either the verbal or the math portion.

It is definately not common to get a perfect score on either of the sections of the SATs. Most people that take these exams score in about the "average range" and while some people score higher than average, there are very few that score perfectly!!

not that common, but it is more common to get a perfect score in the math portion than the verbal portion (imagine all the vocab u have to memorize...)
