The best gifts don't cost a lot. The ideas about the love letter & recreating the first date are great. Why not do Both??
Is there something she Loves to do & you Don't??? Whether it's a sport, watching a movie, or getting her toes sucked : ). Make her a "Gift Certificate" for 1,3 5, whatever you think you can Cheerfully stand. Put that in with the lvoe letter & you've got it made!!

Since you arent exactly "moneyed" at this point, may I suggest a picnic in some nice place with your wife and the little fella, and possibly finish it up with a nice dinner. Not necessarily in a fancy place, but a place where you both have frequented and like.

Same boat im in, ours is next weekend though.Umm depends on what she likes to do, my wife likes to cook and bake (she's really good too), so im planning on getting her some kitchen gadgets, just a few different ones. But not every woman is a cook.

The traditional first anniversary gift is paper. You could write her a love letter. I think that would be the sweetest and she'd appreciate it a lot.
