Hey, i thought one of the things they recommend to combat pains from hemorroids etc, is to eat more fiber.. but i eat plenty of it and i still have pains.. And my stool is not hard or anything.. that's not even a problem. I just get pains while doing my daily stuff. .. But so why raisin bran doesn't help me? do i have to eat some special type of fiber?

Raisen bran..and MOST dry ready prepared cereal are certainly not enough or even a good cereal containing real fiber. Instant cereals will not help you.

Try using a 7 grains (or more) hot ceral. Red Mills brand or Arrow Mills brand make pretty good ones. You can find them in any health food market/store, or at some regular supermarkets with a natural foods isle/section. When you use these types of cereals daily and add fresh fruit like bananns, strawberries, blueberries, etc to it you'll have really good and easy bowel movements. You'll know your getting enough fiber because you bowel movement will NOT float, but break up when flushed. Also, (not be be disgusting or anything) you'll see the grains that you've injested in your stool when it breaks up after flushing.

Be sure to include hearty whole grain breads (the heavy kind of bread) into your diet as well. Include in your new eating routine more lightly steamed vegetables (if you can eat them raw... excellent) like carrots, kale, cabbage, potatoes (baked without all the butter and sour cream added) broccoli, squash etc.

Cut back/or cut out dairy and meat products. Try to eliminate white flour (and products made with it) white rice, white bread, processed foods, and white sugar, and sodas from your diet.

Eat more nuts (not salted and canned), and fresh fruit, along with brown rice DAILY and trust... you won't be having hemorroids much longer.
