That's not in the Bible. What people do is confuse this verse, I Corinthians 10:13 with that, which says, "1No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." God never says he'll give us more than we can handle on our own. The secret is to handle it with him on our side.

is this the verse you mean? I Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

That is not mentioned in the Bible. God often gives us trials to go through. He does this so we will rely on him.

1 Cor. 10:13 (NKJV)
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Peter 2:19 (NKJV)
For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.

Luke 14:28-33 (NKJV)
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it-- [29] lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, [30] saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.' [31] Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? [32] Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. [33] So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

James 1:12 (NKJV)
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it.

I like the escape idea.

the verse doesn't say that though i can't remember exactly where it's at. It says God does not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can endure. Not that life can't crush us.

"Cast thy burdens upon the Lord, He will never suffer the righteous to be moved." Is that the one? It means put your problems on God, cuz he'll never give you more than what you can handle? It's Psalm 55:22

To Nondescript: why do you even answer any of these questions? To simply show that you're a rude, condescending person? You may have your own opinion, but please keep it to yourself if you're only trying to be rude to others.

1 Corinthians 10:13"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
