check the baby for bumps bruises and cuts and then call the doctor. if baby crys alot go straight to the er. if no visible marks and no crying just watch baby for a few hours and dont let it goto sleep/ always call the doctor should this happen and never leave a baby on a bed sofa or anywhere else that it can roll off of alone

It's not that bad if a baby falls. It's worse if an 11 month old, for example, falls down and hits their head than if a 3 month old falls down and hits their head.
Although a 3 month old is smaller and seems more fragile, its bones are still soft so if it falls and hits its head, there is no chance of it cracking or damaging its skull, whereas the 11 month old may be in serious danger if the same happens.

My son did this...it was the first time he ever rolled over! He was fine...and is fine now. He fell of the bed on to linoleum floor tile. These things can happen anytime! Even if you are right there. Babies are unpredictable!
