Muslims today employ terror in almost all their imagined disputes. Whether its the Phillipines, Chechnia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Nigeria, Sudan, Somolia, Iraq, Israel, Algeria, Indonesia...

Only a very small percentage of Islamic religious clergy, in Islamic countries, have issued decrees (fatwas) against this method of Jihad. This is a critical indicator of how well accepted terror is within the Islamic community because fatwas are issued frequently, for any perceived affront to Islam.

Even the slightest perceieved misrepresentation of Islam is sure to get a slew of fatwas in response. So, if "terrorists" truely have hyjacked Islam as the ignorant white non-muslim tv anchors have said, then the immediate result of 911 or any terror act would be a slew of fatwas, many of which, would actually demand the murder of the terrorists themselves.

Where were the Fatwas? After 911 Colin Powell went on a mission to get some...and got none.

After the Saudi terror attacks, the Saudi government finally got some fatwas issued and after the Spain attacks, one large spanish muslim community issued a fatwa...but think about this proportionately.

Remember...all Islamic communities issue these for the slightest affront to Islam.

So long as Islam exists people, there is absolutely no question, terror will remaina part of all of our lives.

You've stated the same questions I've been asking, only to have people tell me to stop criticizing the "religion of peace." Well, since their leaders rarely (and when they do, weakly) condemn the terrorists, it is safe enough to assume that they support them. There were plenty of muslims marching in support of illegal immigrants a couple of months ago. If they really did object to the terrorists hijacking their religion, we'd see marches in the streets against them---but we don't. I think the reason why is obvious.

The people who counter you statements by bringing up Christianity need to wake up. Yes, there was a lot of violence in Christianity once upon a time. But over the centuries it has matured and events like the crusades are ancient history.

To the poster who mentioned McVeigh: how many American terrorists ASIDE from him can you name, let's say, over the last 50 years? We can name an awful lot of Muslim terrorists, but very few American terrorists. Fact is, McVeigh was an anomaly. He didn't identify himself as working with a particular group or promoting a certain set of religious beliefs. He was, quite simply, and evil and defective human being. But he was ONE human being--not an entire religion of them.

I'd like to think that we could live in peace with the muslim community, but it doesn't seem to be our choice. We've been attacked, other attack attempts have taken place, and we MUST defend ourselves, as well as continue our efforts to liberate the oppressed that are being brutally mistreated by their own leaders.

There will not be peace as long as there is Islam, but the end of Islam will come when the people turn away from Allah and turn to Jehovah Jirah El Shaddai. There is a decption in p;ace that these are the same, and yet they are quite obviously not the same. Many are going into the lake of fire on account of Allah, but how many can be saved from the demigod? I hope we can set our hearts to praying and our minds to forgiving and save even a few. The sacrifice for their lives will be great, but who will make it?
