Dont' worry, the baby will come when she/he is ready. I stayed at 3cm for a week. My doc just admitted to the hospital and broke my water for me that following weekend.

It sounds like you could be going soon but I was 2cm for 4 months with both of my childern. And my water did not break I had to have them break it. Take a walk up hills, move your furnicher around, clean. Just stay active this will help. If you have not lost your mucus plug then you still have alittle while. Once you lose your mucus plug then you will know. After losing mucus plug I believe it can be up to 2 weeks but if you are already dialated then it will be sooner. I went in to hard labor the day I lost mine. You are in labor right now. You just need to help it along. So you go into hard labor.

Good luck. I know how you feel that last couple of weeks feels like forever.

it may take anywhere from a couple of hours up to a week before you go into labor the cramps you are experiencing is call braxton hicks or false labor pains its like your uterus is doing exercises now that you're 2 cm dilated you have to lose your mucus plug. Normally your not "officially" in labor until you are about 4 to 5 cm.

If you want to go into labor, WALK. My mom was a week late with my brother and 2cm dialated. Her doc told her to walk, so my dad called about 4 neighbors all around our block and they all went out on their porches to watch her to make sure she was safe. And she walked around the block about 6 times, slowly. THAT NIGHT, she went into the hospital and had my little brother. :-)

You are not ready yet..just walk it off..or soak yourself in a bath, making sure that someone is home w/you when you do this just in case you can't get yourself out. My g/f had a bad experience doing that had she stayed there for a good 8 hours till her b/f came home from work. I suggest having sex if you want this baby to come quicker. No I'm not trying to gross you out bout this it truely does help you along. I'm not the only mother out there that has done this and I won't be the last person that you have heard this from. Congratulatons and I wish you well with your new baby to come.

You can be in labor for days. It really starts when your cramps get closer together. At least 3-4 minutes apart. Keep your watch close. It should be soon.

you're having Braxton-Hicks contractions. The contractions have become the toddler into place. while the actual contractions initiate, you will are conscious of it. walking is a huge ingredient to do immediately. walking reasons the toddler to go farther down which inspires hard artwork. an component effect of walking is that it will tire you out to the place you have the skill to sleep greater clever. With our thirde toddler, my spouse had 23 hours of hard artwork, and that i will guess she walked 20 miles throughout the time of that factor. With all of our teenagers, her hard artwork ranged from the 23 hours for our third to 2 hours for our 5th. First replaced into 12 hours, 2nd replaced into six hours, fourth replaced into 3 hours.

If you are already dialating, then labor already begun. You just need to reach the 3rd stage, when it's time to push. Congratulations!

Water breaking is the thing to look for. Cramps are totally normal. It's the womb's way of toning up for the big day. It'll happen when it happens and not any sooner.
