why do men feel the need to sleep with a lot of women before they get married?

As a woman, I would have to say that not only men do it, but women have done this too(not me personally, not my cup of tea). I think if you are in a relationship with a man who you know has had many one-night stands or slept around alot and you are questioning why he needed to do this, in my opinion(because you asked) I think you are having second thoughts about marrying this man. and you should postpone any plans of any marriage or further commitment until you speak with a therapist, or at least talk about your fears and being open and honest with your therapist and this man. If he tells you that you are being a baby or disregards your feelings, dump him immediately.

If you are just asking as a general question, then I would have to say that men and women who do sleep around have very low self-esteem problems and are probably searching for validation of their "worth" by being good in bed, or "conquering" many people of the opposite(or even same) sex. It could also be the fact that they just don't have the emotional sense to save a duck to care about the ramifications of their actions(STD's, unwanted pregnancies, hurt feelings of the other person or themselves after the fact), and they are reckless individuals who feel the need to sleep around because they can.

A lot of men can not control their hormones. It is realty disgusting if you ask me. I mean when you think about it,what woman would want to be with a man who has been with everybody. Then he comes to you, then tells you that you are the one. But how does he know that, because a few days ago some other chick was the one. And men who sleep around before they get married have commitment problems. God made sex for couples who love each other and get married. Sex is SUPPOSED 2 be special, but how can it be special when women r giving it to anybody who'll take it and the men are taking the milk because the cows are free. But my advice is, die a virgin if you have to, if it means obeying God and His laws.

Where are you? in the 50's? or earlier? Once upon a time it was just men, now is everyone.
And why? well it's not everyone. There is nothing wrong with having unattached fun, as long as both are unattached. Nowadays being single means being available for fun. Once you are commited, the fun its over. Some want to sleep around and some dont, it's not everybody but there is nothing wrong with either

I believe this is a result of natural selection. Those who spread their seed far and wide and are prolific tend to have sons who do the same thing. And so it goes! An old outdated mechanism for survival of our species.
