It will stink and be greasy for 8 weeks then it will actually go glossy and lose the smell, it starts to clean itself after 8 weeks.

Saw a program once where they tested this!! the girl was only allowed to wash her hair with water. After six weeks the girl's hair was glossy and all her dandruff had cleared up. Lots of people don't wash their hair with products eg Chris Evans, and their hair is fine. (although is does go though a smelly period until the oils re-adjust to working properly)

Well, if you have oily skin to begin with, your hair will get greasy a lot quicker than if you have dry hair and skip a day or two of washing.
The oils and dead skin will build up and your scalp will smell like oil and noodles...it's the only thing I could resemble it with. You'll also have dandruff from oils and skin building up. Use a good clarifying Shampoo and give your scalp a good scrubbing with your finger tips (not nails) and you'll probably need to repeat. Stay light on the conditioner and keep it towards the ends of your hair, not the roots.

I saw a programme about it and the specialist said you should wash it everyday, you should treat it like any other part of your body. Where ever you face goes you hair does too. Your hair is especially good at inducing smells, dirt and everything. On the whole the advice is, wash your hair regularly.
You can only get lice from someone else and lice only like clean hair.

greasy for 2-3 weeks, then it conditions itself and looks really good. I have heard of many people who don't use shampoo. They wash their hair but only witn water. It does not go smelly and is not covered in bacteria. How did mankind ever manage to survive covered in evil bacteria before shampoo was invented?

it would get really greasy, it would be in a really bad condition. I have trained a little bit for hairdressing, going back in september. If you use products on your hair, and never wash it, the products would stay in your hair, and make it in a really bad way.

well I know if I don,t wash my hair for about three days, it gets very greasy & itchy as hell, so I can,t imagine not ever washing it, & that would just be gross anyway. Do what you want, it,s your hair, but mabey be aware of rude comments behind your back.

It gets greasy lank and bogging. Plus its a myth nits prefer clean hair. They don't care if you're a right grot. In fact, your blood probably tastes better without all the selium, and various other shampoo chemicals.

Saw a program on TV about this. Once you get passed the greasy / itchy stage 2 - 3 weeks your hair reverts back to it's natural state. That is it cleans itself, oils itself and looks great.
