Finally! A really interesting question to debate! Thank you so much for this!

Given that it will take multiple battles, the first "thrust" at the hand of the Archangel Michael, to deal with the Christian God of Evil (he must be a god given the power invested in him) then you might be on to something here.

Perhaps, Revelations is in fact a metaphor for human consciousness. The battle we all wage within. If that's the case then yes. The Christian all powerful god of supposed "good" being what we project to the outside world. The Christian fallen angle turned Seat of all Evil, being a part of our interior world. Thus all the attempts (as stated in Revelations) to get rid of this ultimate bad-guy being failed attempts, until finally, one day in the future, good triumphs over evil. The consciousness transforms so that the outer and inner worlds are the same.

For me personally, the "process" is far more intriguing than the final result. The ebb and flow between what we want to be as compared to what we really are. Once we reach pure consciousness then the ride is over. No more returns to what I call "Earth Boot Camp" because we've reached our final destination.

The issue that's really sad for me, and one of the many reasons why I enjoy reading Nicolas Campbell, is the fact that the vast majority of human beings take what is written in any holy book as literal. No one tries to look past the words and into the mythology, to see what the underlying message is. If they did...

They would see the value in all religious works.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

God is capable of destroying Satan, He simply hasn't yet. But He will, read Revelation and you'll see that God will throw him into a lake of fire as punishment for his rebellion and all the evil he encouraged.

No. Read the Bible. God is Good and satan is Evil. Good and Evil can never coexist, which shows they can never be one and the same. The bible Says God WILL destroy satan and his followers in his second coming.God cant destroy himself. With that being said ,which side are you on, satan or God?. Make up your mind.
