My mom went to an Indian store and bought this so called Ayurvedic medicine called SAFI. It claims to cure everything from acne to nosebleeds.
Well, 2 days ago I had a very bad nosebleed that happened out of nowhere. I immediately took the SAFI bottle and drank 2 teaspoons of it. My nosebleed stopped however I soon found out something really troubling after looking up information on what I just drank.
It appears that SAFI is poison. A health report by U.K.and Canadian health agencies states that it contains a high level of arsenic, a toxic chemical. (http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/ahc-asc/media/advisories-avis/fpa-ape/2006_62_e.html)
I don't know what to do. I tried telling my mom what happened but she does not believe me and thinks that I am over reacting. The same thing happened when I tried to tell my brother and one of my friends. Nobody even wants to drive me to a hospital (I haven't learned to drive yet) Everyone says that I'm still living and nothing is wrong. Sure, it may not kill

TAKE THE SUBSTANCE TO YOUR CHEMIST AND ASK FOR SOME INFO. IF YOU FEEL AFFECTED ALREADY CALL AN AMBULANCE.

First of all, you should ALWAYS check out what it is you are taking. I don't think 2 teaspoons is enough to have any long term effects on your health. It will only have a minimal impact if any at all. Long term use might be another story. When I was younger and more careless I took a lot of LSD. LSD contains rat poison and I have had no serious health effects because of it. I'm sure with all the LSD that I ingested there was more than two teaspoons full of poison. You'll be ok. If you still have doubts, call a free clinic or poison control center and ask what kind of things you should watch for health wise.

You wouldn't have been able to type this if it was that poisonous. This is how some people build up an immunity to arsenic in the old days. Take alittle at a time...get deathly ill, recover and little by little increase the dosage until the amount they were ingesting would make them ill later but would kill someone else.
Of course...dump the stuff. Next time stick a wad of cotton in your nose. No one ever died from that. Not unless 5 tons of it fell on them.

Here's an excerpt from an article:
As a precaution, consumers are advised not to take any supplements made by these companies unless they bear an eight-digit Drug Identification Number, Natural Product Number or a Homeopathic Drug Number, indicating that they have been assessed for safety, efficacy and quality.
Does the bottle have any of these numbers on it?

Contact a Poison Control Center and ask them. Don't waste
time goofing off on internet message boards.

If you had drank enough to kill you you would of been dead 30 minutes after drinking it. To die slowly you would need to be injesting small amounts of it on a regular basis
The upshot is - you'll be fine

my advice is if there is arsenic in there, to get it out as fast as possible. eat stuff w/ a lot of fiber and u can also eat stuff w/ laxatives in it. There are even non-prescription laxative medicines you can take. stay away from dairy products b/c that will go against the laxatives.

just go on the online directory where you live and call for a doctor, make some questions on the phone, but you'll be ok.
And stop drinking that stuff!
