If this girl had a mother, and her mother had a cousin (who was king) and the king had a son (who was prince) what would the prince be to the girl? (in terms of relations, like second cousin or something like that)

The girl and the prince are whatever degree the mother and the king are, plus one.

If the mom and king are first cousins, the two children are second cousins.

If the mom and the king are second cousins, the two children are third cousins, and so forth.

Removed is when you go up and down the generations. If the king is the mom's first cousin, the king is the daughter's first cousin, once removed. When (if) the daughter has children, they will be the king's first cousins, twice removed.

All that can truly be said is that the prince would be the girl's cousin because we don't know the precise relationship between the king and the mother.

I think it would be second cousin once removed. So pretty much little to no relation. Okay to get married in most states. Especially UTAH.

Second cousins I think. Good luck with your book.

I think it would be a 2nd cousin or 2nd cousin once removed. Possibly making her a duchess if she was lucky
