I didnt think you could actually see bedbugs. How do you know they are there? and the Treasure Island and Mirage are two different hotels, how can it be Treasure Island at Mirage? im confused to what you are asking.

I think you'd stand more of a chance of some sort of conpensation if you have photographic evidence to back up your claim of a refund or at least a discount for your experience of staying in this 5 star hotel. Are you certain they're bedbug bites? as you say you came back on Friday & now have the bites all over your body? I don't know nything regarding begbug bites, nor have I ever see them so I don't know the length of time it takes for the bites to show up on the skin. I think if you have no photographic evidence of the bites, mayb a Doctor could confirm that they're bites & a letter confirming this could be sent along with your complaint. Other than that, I don't really see a full refund returning to you? You could contact the hotel & inform them of your experience, & take it from there? Good luck & hope the bites aren't too sore.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! That's terrible. Did you tell the management?? Bedbugs are HUGE, and are making a comeback, in the past few years, mainly in congregate living settings....never heard of a case in a well reputed place!

Bed bugs were common in the U.S. before World War II and became rare after widespread use of the pesticide DDT began in the 1940s and 1950s. They remained prevalent in other areas of the world and, in recent years, have been increasingly observed again in the U.S.
