Why does noone have any sense of humor in this section????

Maybe because the people in this section are following their heavenly fathers example. Everything he and his son did was chaste, righteous and true. His provision and plan includes everything that is good for us from a beautiful place to live, to life everlasting. I have often wondered the same thing when studying the bible, you never hear accounts of the disciples telling jokes or laughing. However, you know that there had to be times that funny things happened. Take for instance the example of Peter when the disciples and Jesus were out in the boat and he tried to walk on water and sank. You can imagine the other disciples saying, "Look at Peter, he thinks he can walk on water," and then laughing. Well in telling the world about God's purpose for the earth it was serious business and there was much to do so I suppose only the important things were preserved for our instruction and we will have to wait till after the resurrection to ask them about all the other more humorous things. One of the times laughter was mentioned was at Psalms 126:2 "At that time our mouth became filled with laughter And our tongue with a joyful cry." This verse was speaking of Jehovah (GOD) gathering back the captive ones of Zion. Hope this thought put a smile on your face.

That depends on the question. There are some real pieces of work that try to start trouble and I lose my sense of humor with them. But this usually is a serious section because it is important and touches people at their core. I am Christian and I know God has a great sense of humor...he created George Bush didn't he????? : )

I think that a lot of people here must have a sense of humor because with the answers they give they can't be serious.

I was talking with a friend, whom I hadn't seen in months. He seemed very distraught, because a cousin he hadn't seen in years died 4 weeks ago. I was sorry to hear that, but that cousin left him $10,000. My friend said that was nice, but his Aunt Beatrice died 3 weeks ago. However, she left him $80,000. I'm really at odds with this one. His family is dying all around him, but the guy is like $90,000 richer. He says, "2 weeks ago my Grandma Nana died and left me $160,000!" He turned to me with tears in his eyes, but no one died last week.

well---actually we do---but no one catches it. *sigh* We are low down to the ground making merry and enjoying ourselves and no one seems to get it. People ask such ignorant questions and we sometimes have a real blast trying to answer the stupid ones. Some people post to see if they can make us mad or upset. Sometimes it works---sometimes it goes right over our heads. But not to worry, because we smile, we laugh, we tell jokes, we make merry----we love life. We just don't love stupidity. And sometimes----when you offer a thirsty man WATER and he says---NOPE---gimme a beer---well, what can I say---???? you just gotta go with what's flowing! ;-)
