Oh poo on people who think perfume isn't a good gift. I would assume you know your girl and that she would like/ want perfume as a gift. I would rather you put it in a decorative bag with tissue or simply place a beautiful bow on top of the box. If the gift is for an occasion, you should definitely wrap it - if it is just a "love you" gift - then it doesn't matter as much.
Perfume is an expression of closeness. It takes knowing a woman, her tastes, and her likes to get a perfume she will enjoy. Simply buying the most expensive one the girl at the store suggests isn't the greatest idea (AND DO NOT BUY HER THE SAME ON YOUR MUM, GRANDMA, AUNT WEARS! - unless you know beyond a shadow of a doubt she loves the scent!)
I think ANY random gift is sweet, it shows you are thinking of her and want to do something nice. Don't listen to spoiled people who say otherwise.
Good luck and best wishes!

Definitely take the time to wrap the perfume otherwise it looks like you are just handing her something that you might have gotten from your mother or sister. Perfume signifies that you are in a relationship but does not indicate that you are ready for the next level. Good choice. Hopefully she mentioned that she like that scent as it would indicate that you listen to her.

I think it's alway nice to wrap a gift. A show of consideration and special care. No, I don't think giving someone perfume is act of commitment. I gave them all the times, sometimes it's a matter of convenience...something small and within my budget.

i would suggest wrapping it, but with tissue paper in a bag, not with wrapping paper. make it creative and lots of colors and basically...well...eye appealing. Perfume really isn't a thoughtful gift, but you already have it, so i guess it will have to do. Perfume generally is just a pre-gift to something bigger, also, so maybe decide to take her out to eat at a fancy restaraunt so she can wear it.

always wrap a gift! or at least put it in a little gift bag! and add a card or a little note tag too!.... perfume doesn't really symbolize anything in a relationship... its just a thoughtful personal gift... better than a toaster... but not as good as jewelry...lol... its kind of a safe gift... enjoy!

I think perfume is a sweet gift. something that you had to spend some time on because you picked it out for her :)
If it's for a holiday/birthday/special occasion i say wrap it. if not then you can just give it to her :)
Maybe just put it in a decorative bag, but no need to tissue paper if it's casual - that would be sweet.

BTW give some tips to some other men out there :)

I think you should wrap it. And most of us do like getting perfume as a gift. I don't know that it represents anything "specific", but it certainly is a nice gesture & should show her you think about her when she is not with you.

Wrap it with ribbons and bows and make it look like you put so much effort into the wrapping of a gift for her, and buy a nice card to go along with it. Presentation is more important than the gift it self, follow these rules and you will be one lucky man

Perfume is a very nice gift. I would definately wrap it, it's just classier and everyone likes to open a gift.

Perfume is a very basic, boring gift. My husband is extremely creative with gifts so I'm used to a lot more. If I received perfume from a guy I was dating, I would think he was extremely uninteresting. I mean, it took absolutely no effort to think of perfume. What about her interests? Does she collect anything? And yes, of course you must wrap it - show a little interest and care for this poor woman who is currently stuck with you.
