We're in-between 2 Kings and 1 Chronicles. I'm reading W. Cleon Skousen's "The Fourth Thousand Years" Bible commentary as it covers from David to Christ. A good Bible commentary would answer about 75% of the questions on this site, by the way. In my opinion Skousen is one of the best, but since he was a Mormon scholar I guess some people shy away from reading his works. A Methodist once thought Skousen was Methodist, however, so it goes to show Christians think more alike than differently.
