Anticonvulsant drugs help minimize the number of seizures episodes. Petit mal seizures respond well to valproic acid (trade name: Depakote), ethosuximide, and clonazepam.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has also proven beneficial.

I also have epilepsy. I have gran mal seizures which are primrily induced by flashing lights (my trigger). The only test they were able to see my seizures were during a viddeo eeg in the hospital. I currently take trileptal and topamax and i am waiting for new drugs to come down the road which may help in the future because i still do not have good seizure control. I have found that if i drink or a lack of sleep makes me more prone to having a seizure.

For the most part eplipsy is no longer used in the medical profession and has been replaced with seizure disorder. I am unable to decide what you could possibly mean by not epileptic, doesn't sound like a genuine medical diagnosis. Meantime I am sure you have been evaluated and prescribed a medication which you need to be dedicated to taking on a regular basis or it just won't give you any results. You have no doubt also been given a list of things to avoid as "triggers" to seizures. If you aren't happy with your current treatment then you need to seek a second opinion.

I also have epilepsy that does not show on mri and cat scans but does on an eeg. I saw a neurologist called proffessor robinson and went through a series of drugs to try and find the correct ones which finally resolved the fits in most parts. The types of fits I was having were gran mal which are controlled with Lamictal and peti mals which were harder to control but we got there with the use of the then trial drug keppra or levatiracetam which is now available on perscription. see your doctor to see if this could be used for your condition which sounds similar to the one I had.

in case your lady in uncomplicated words had one seizure which resulted in her passing then it sounds like the rationalization behind the seizure grow to be from an unknown reason. i'm sorry to take heed to of her passing. even inspite of the undeniable fact that Cooper grow to be from the same clutter (same age and fogeys?), it does no longer recommend that he will have a seizure also. Seizures might want to correctly be led to by technique of many stuff so except he actually has a seizure then i doesn't be in touch at this factor. If he does in some unspecified time sooner or later have one then on the prompt he desires to get appeared at. He might want to by no skill have a seizure. Seizures might want to correctly be managed with drugs yet no longer prevented. drugs is likewise in uncomplicated words prescribed for canine with a popular seizure difficulty.

Epilepsy has appeared in my family, and I was checked for it a couple of times. Both times something happened to screw up the results. But the neurologist put me on Dilatin.
Get tested and find out what's causing the seizures. Stress and excessive alchohol can do it. But you would be better off talking with a doctor and seeing what's wrong first.
Good luck!
