Uniforms are great! No arguing over what to wear in the morning. Cheaper in the long run, no designer labels, you can but uniforms at Target and Kohls. You still need other clothes, just not nearly as much.

My kids are in a school that requires a uniform. I think it's a great equalizer, particularly out here in the suburbs where the kids (and parents) are so competitive. Also, it promotes a decency code that the public schools can't seem to enforce. And, it saves me tons of money, too!

Uniforms are out of the question unless they are free. I just spent a fortune on school supplys for my three children. Before the new school year the schools send out a supply list..for my sixth grader all of it amounted to $200.00 talk about outrageous! Plus a $75.00 computer lab fee! Not to mention a high end calculator shes required to have ! I have heard about "No Child Left Behind" how about "No Parent Left Behind Financially So Children Can Get A Decent Education?"

No, I am against uniforms in school, I had to wear them. You miss all the fun trendy clothes, lose your sense of fashion style and it does not make all children equal. Character is what makes us all different and dressing us alike will not make them all the same. Doesnt save money either someone has to buy the uniforms and kids out grow them too.

Not a uniform, but a dress code would be nice. The way these girls, especially, are dressing lately is RIDICULOUS! They look like they are 23 years old headed towards the club with pants that hang down to their ______ and shirts riding all the way up to their _______. And the boys wearing hats or their hair unbrushed and pants with their underwear hanging out. But a uniform will take away a child individuality which is important, but kids need, and whether they admit it or not, want restrictions.

If my kids were to go to school, yes, I would want them to ewquire a uniform. As a family who chooses homeschool, we have our own uniform of sorts. The girls all wear skirts and modest shirts with collars (boys wear same type of shirts) as to not distract from learning

I agree! Kids grow so fast and the cost to keep up with them are unreal! I love my children but a school uniform would be very handy!

Yes, not just for the spending. I'd like it to keep the kids from being materialistic and so poor children who may have a lot to offer will still be befriended. I don't think it's fair that only kids who can afford brand names get be popular...
