why is it ok for Christians to preach people on yahoo answers.but when Muslims or Jews preach.....?

but when muslims or jews preach everyone says stuff like go away.

i have nothing against christians its just everyone says Amen when christians preach.but when jews or muslims preach its like the world stops.

we shouldn't be cruel when anyone of any religion preaches their belief.

I agree with you that it's not okay to tell Muslims or Jews to go away. This section isn't just for Christians. It's for spiritual people, and for people from all sorts of religions.

It is interesting how some Christians even speak this way to other Christians. I suppose there will always be people like that.

These three religions are competing with one another. So if you're preaching Islam to a bunch of Christians or Jews, you're gonna get resistance. Of course, the current political climate doesn't help Islam any. But even in normal (i.e. before 9/11/2001) times you'd find resistance.

As for why everything seems to favor Christianity, North American and European religious people are mostly Christians. Then you have those who are not religious who just as well not want to hear anything from any of these religions.

I agree we shouldn't be cruel. But just as you can't force people to be polite, you can't control people's temper and moods. If you're out to preach, you should be prepared for whatever responses you get. Door-to-door salesmen have the same challenges. That's just the way people are.

Dear A, it's how you look at things.There are all sorts of people in this world, some are tolerant while others are not.Whatever your belief is, there will always be a crowd against it and a handful with it.Just look at the handful and you'll be happy ! Moreover if your belief is strong enough then the crowd will follow you one day.. And if everyone would take your belief then all of them will be Muslims, coz A true Muslim listens and believes without argument. Isn't it !

Personally I would prefer that no one come in here and preach. This should be a place for polite dialog. Not fighting about our differences.

If somebody really wants to mix it up my "report" button is still warm. Or if someone wants to be more controversial I can go toe to toe.

But "Preaching" gets offensive fast. While we are on the subject. FYI those of you who paste or type more than 5 paragraphs are probably not read by most of us. It's boring, arrogant and I think downright rude.

I've never seen a Muslim or Jew preach on Y! Answers... if they did I certainly wouldn't nay-say or put them down for it... Just like I'm not going to tell Christians to shut up even though I don't necessarily agree with what's being said.

Maybe people just don't know enough about Islam or Judica to comment honestly?

It is weird. Plus I do not think it is preaching its trying to give people a better understanding. People think the worst of Muslim when in fact if they understood the real teachings maybe they would see what we see.

No body says go away unless it's that muslim that copies pages of paper and then posts them as a question. Nobody reads it and nobody wants to. But it's his nickel, if he wants to spend 5 points on a ream of paper no one wants to read, it's a free country.

I think Muslims and Jews just give up too easily. Christians get 'stuffed', too. The only difference is that we shoot back.

Muslims shoot, too, but they do it too literally!!!
