encounter, i am a single mum of 2 and pretty clued up and not that naive when it comes to internet dating, but wot i am not clued up on is if it feels right to have sex on that first date should i? when would it be the most appropriate time for a intimatcy to happen. i dont wont to put them off to much and think i am frigid, but i also am no easy lay either. any ideas please

I would say wait until after 3-4 dates. You don't know whether the first date is also the last as you both might decide not to see each other again. If you have sex then it will just be a one night stand. As you say you don't want him to think you are an easy lay and not respect you. No man should expect to have sex on the first night as this smacks of him just using the woman rather than a view to a relationship. Hope this helps. Good luck!!

I'm a single mom of 2 as well and I don't believe you should have sex on the first date. Now if you just want to have casual sex without any strings attached, you don't have to go on date for that you can find a guy anywhere for that. But if you are seriously looking to date, don't give away the goodies on the first date. Wait til you get to know the person a little better at least his name. You go an enjoy yourself on your date.

When I was younger I would have sex on the first and sometimes last date.
You have two children and are looking for someone to be with, not just a quick lay. I would say not on the first date but if you do fancy them make it clear that it is a possibility soon, you just don't want to be rushed. You deserve some respect. If he tries to make you 'pay' for dinner and drinks, then he's not worth knowing.

NOT the first date when it feels it right don't think about just do it if he stays after you have had sex then he's a great guy. But if he doesn't come back for a repeat perfomance then it's his lost just remember if you want sex you do it on your terms then you won't hurt as much.

Nothing wrong in the 3 dates rule for a girl.
You have to think about what you want from it though.
If you're up for a good time, go for it whenever you (and he) like.
If you want a relationship, and aren't interested in anything casual, 3 dates should filter out the people who'd use you for sex.

Well I think do what you think is right. Don't plan for it to happen on the first date, but hey if it does than it must have been right to happen. I would not worry, just make sure the guy is no risk to you or your kids though eh. Good luck with your date :O)

NO - do not have sex on a first date. Get to know them more and for longer. This will make it special. If they really do like you they will wait, if they don't wait then you'll know they were just after you for the one thing, and you deserve more than just being used for sex.

Go with the flow, if it feels right. The girl I am with now, we had sex the first night that I met her and I don't think she is easy. In fact I love her to bits.
