I am confused. How is you think they are chosen by god. ANY man can go through seminary school and become a priest of his own free will and desire. This does not make him chosen or even righteous

Priests aren't "chosen by God" some may be called by God, but just because someone chooses to be a priest doesn't mean he is God's man. In fact, probably perverts think that's a great career choice, like being a school teacher, or big brother, or scout leader. You can't blame God for the evil that men do.

God did not choose priests. Priests chose to serve God and some pretend to serve God. So it is actually the choice of the priest to molest a child, not the choice of God. Just like God give all of us a chance to decide on our own lives. Some of us chose to serve him and some chose to do everything that is against God's will. This does not mean that God sin, but that people sin. Because people make the choice themselves; God did not tell them to do wrong things.

Dear BringNothing: Let's consider together the differences between an Ordained Priest or Clergyman and an Anointed teacher.

Although the Church structure offers its Priests to its people as sanctified - truth displays that any motive you can think up - any person can decide he desires the safety and sanctity of the Church and take the necessary steps to deposit himself into it.

Seminary schools, and preparatory school, ask of Novices why they feel "called" by God. This question is the all imporant question. The answer often determines if they will be able to actually enter the seminary school. For the Catholic Church, I am not very informed on structure ; forgive me my usage of incorrect terms, but I imagine the process is rather similar: What is inside the person seeking Ordination - or the move upward into Priesthood - has great bearing. The expression, "I am called" is used with great urgency to convince. They try to convince themselves as well ! The following paragraph will explain:

There are many people, BringNothing, who are frightened of themselves due to their deepest inner thoughts. They feel safe inside a Church - close to God Who will help them. They feel if they can remain in ceaseless holy work and frequent communion - somehow, that thing inside them, will go away. That does not happen. Why do they not receive the cleansing they may seek - why are they not purified by their work?

Because, words and symbols are not enough. Even Priests need to develop a working relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit that encompasses more than worship and holy duties. A working relationship with the Christ and the Holy Spirit entails raw communication - no deceit - a Holy Relationship that allows Jesus and the Holy Spirit to get into the darkest corners of that soul and shine light UPON those corners. Few people allow a relationship of that enormous depth. They stick to busy-ness - their duties and worship and believe that is all there truly is. The Confessional can be hoodwinked also. Confess other things. Even if admitted inside the Confessional the Secrecy of the Confessional is protective. And the penances to be extracted are not enough to cleanse, in themselves, alone. For that can become lip-service and not the raw heart-wrenching dialogue with their Christ and the Holy Spirit that is needed. The Pharisees were expert at lip-service also !

What it says about God is that some of his Children have sickened, spiritually, in this Great Separation. There are answers to the problem. But, there is failure to arrive at the correct answer - when man handles the problem in his own way, instead of God. The Christ and the Holy Spirit are perfectly able to handle any problem of the soul. It's man, himself, who cheats himself.

Last, an Anointed teacher is someone who would never seek the title of teacher and begin working in God's name until Jesus and the Holy Spirit tell him to. There is no Seminary School, preparatory school, working one's way up the ladder within a Church. Nothing is given you until They appoint you, directly.

Some have waited 20 + years of study and learning and developing a Relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit that is raw - a Holy Relationship - before being told to begin their work. In fact, it is very AVERAGE for an Anointed teacher to study and develop their Relationship for 15 years. Many, speak of a 15 -year wait. They hear the Holy Spirit's Voice and they hear Jesus speak to them in their inner self. Because they HEAR - they WAIT. They do not rush to become Ordained and start working. Their ability to hear and WAIT is their INTEGRITY. Anointed teachers usually are non-denominational. They work both inside a Church that is non-denominational or, out in the field.
Although corruption can always take place in either camp, by and large I see the Anointed teachers as having fewer troubles. Personal opinion !

It means that God is still a good God; only the priests made some terrible decisions in life! God didn't make these men child molesters; these men made THEMSELVES child molesters by CONSCIOUS choice!

Not all priest (minister, preachers whatever) are chosen by God. Some enter the life out of respect for their family (Mom always wanted me to be a priest).

It doesn't anything about God, but it speaks volumes about the depravity of man.

That He didn't choose them. If a man is called of God and given the Holy Priesthood, amen to that Priesthood if he does not the will of God. Child molesters are false priests and can not even be called by the name of God. The true Priesthood of God enables men to bring the powers of Heaven forth, not hell.

Not everyone who becomes a priest or a minister is chosen by God. A great many who occupy the position have just assumed that they were called bu God. Jesus loves you.

Some become priests to have access to children. A priest has to be practicing Christian behavior, and upholding Christian behavior, otherwise He is not a priest. Priest's who molest are not Christian, therefore, are not really Priest's. Jesus talked about those who hurt any of his little ones.

God has nothing to do with the hurting of children. What it shows is that we are cowards, in that we allow this behavior to continue and not dealing with it. We should defrock all sexuallly deviant Priests.

Your question needs to be rewritten. Many of the priest are not chosen by god, They simply put themselves in that position. And Those that do molest children were not of god in the first place. They'll have their place in the lake of fire.
