I just found out that my ex who I was trying to make things work with, had lied to me yet again. He was trying to have a relationship with a girl that he was caught with before, and she called me today to ask me about it. I told her that yes we have been working things out and she told me everything. What is the point of being with one person and cheating with another??? The one you are cheating with finds out and you lose them both, I don't understand... What is the point?

You & this girl should not confront him AT ALL...
Why give him the time of day? A guy would laugh it off knowing that the 2 of you found out... By not responding to any more e-mails (especially if you block him) or phone calls - that would leave him wondering.... and if he shows up at your place - call a neighbor he doesn't know to come over to "see you"... he will get the hint...
Ex's are Ex's for a reason and if he cheated on you to begin with, you will never have a solid relationship with him...

How do you know what this other girl is saying is true. Maybe they were caught before and maybe she was only just a piece if you know what i mean and she doesnt want to see you get back with him because it blows off all her chances. But true I have seen many people cheat and stay with the person that they are cheating on. It amazes me too. I think it is the thrill and excitement or could be because they feel responsible to stay with their partner but need to find attention they are not getting at home from someone else. Men cheat when they are in need. So if you want to make sure they dont cheat make sure they have no needs. Kind of like over eatting if you keep him so stuffed when he is apart from you he wont be tempted to nibble. Its not all a guys fault when they cheat . Either thier woman isnt doing it for them or some woman makes him crazy and he cant help himself. I look at it this way men have two heads but only one has a brain and that brain has trouble controling the one without and once the one without takes over forget it because now you have a man not capable of reason or thought and they can do some pretty stupid things while they are like that . And if it wasnt for some horny chick getting him all crazy there wouldnt be a problem. If you love the guy you should make sure that the chick that called you isnt really trying to just get you out of the way so she can have a chance and in that case she needs to be taught a lesson to. No violence tho since that would get you into trouble and make you look stupid at the same time. I would get her back by getting some really hot friend of yours to take her out and get her all crazy and then clown her in front of everyone or something like that.

Obviously you're asking rhetorical questions because there is no purpose to being unfaithful except to be selfish and deceitful. These are the people that want their cake and eat it too. Relationships are about commitment, being faithful, and having respect and dignity towards yourself and the person that you love. Once there is infidelity, in my view, the relationship is over forever with no further contacts with that person. Even though the person says that they are willing to change, they very seldom change and the emotional scars are already set and too deep to heal from such a traumatic experience.

Because he isn't looking for a girlfriend, he's looking for a warm body to stick it in. He's comfortable with you, but he wants some fun on the side. You are thinking he's trying with this other girl for more than sex, but that's it. It's all about sex, nothing else.
