mommy i know how you feel i have twins and my hubby works at least 60 hours a week. the toddler stage is rough but just think about it this is all their first you will miss it later i was a stressed out mom and let me tell you i loved it they are gonna be 10 this week and we still have the stress but i wouldn't change it for the world for being misbehaved mine have their moments but i have seen many many kids worse then mine and why they are small spend as much time with them as possible take them to the park instead of being on the computer do the computer thing after they go to bed. and if you don't work may be that is what you need a job to get a break form them i do it i work part time and yes i hate my job but then you are around adults and not just toddlers all day.

I'm with ya sweetie! I have three boys (1, 3 & 5yo). My 5yo just started kindergarten (which is a relief after having all three of them to contend with for the past year) and my 3yo is going to preschool MWF morning now, so I'm getting a little break. My baby just started walking as is getting into EVERYTHING. My husband is a great guy and works while I stay home too (I know I'm lucky and shouldn't complain), but mommies get TIRED! So, my advice, if you are open to the idea is to try and find a playgroup or some program for you and/or the kids to participate in so that you can get a little break. There are lots of things available that don't cost much or are free. Check out churches, the local YMCA, community organizations, etc. for info. Also, do a Yahoo search. My playgroup actually has a Yahoo group to keep track of our playdates and we list in the Yahoo directory so that people can find us. Sorry if I'm going on here, I just know how crazy it gets being mommy some days! Good luck!!!!! You're doing a great job!!!!!!!!!

I can understand your frustration. I'm a single mom of a 5 year old and a 6month baby. I've had troubles with my son from time to time. I've come to the realization that my sons behavior is directly related to how I'm parenting at the time. If I'm stressed out I tend to be more impatient and yell a little more. Lately I've made a huge effort to remain patient and calm, and it's made a huge difference. He still has his moments, but if I react calmly the outcome is always ten times better. I know it's hard, and I still have my moments too. Someone gave me the best peice of advice a little while ago. He simply said, "Just enjoy your kids" I realized that for the most part I wasn't. I am now making it priority, and what a difference it makes. I try to let the little things just bounce off me and give them as much of me as I can. We have been having wonderful days and a lot of fun. (this is just my situation and my thoughts I'm not at all implying that this is you) Maybe you could find some of it useful though. Take care and God Bless

I am a father of 3 within 3yrs 9days. My wife works full time and i stay at home with kids. I think they are troublesome and misbehaved, but that's only with me. When we have a sitter(rarely) The kids are good. I have full time kid duty 24/7 Its a crazy life but nothing can replace the feeling i get when i see them smile in the morning no matter how misbehaved. The older they will get the easier it will be. My 21 month old repeats my 3yo every action. eventually my oldest will learn right from wrong and teach it to the other children. I hope so any way.

I know how you feel. I have a six year old and a 3 year old. I am also pregnant.

I have been brainwashed by my mom that mothers don't get time to them self and should always be with their children 24/7. So I feel guilty any time I am away from them.

But, you know what....If you don't take time for yourself you won't be as good as a mother. You will snap at your kids more often. They will feel your stress.

You need a babysitter or trusted relative to take them for a few hours a week to give yourself some relaxation.

There are churches with mommys day out. They watch your pre-schoolers and toddlers for one day a week durning the day. I would look into that in your area.

Good luck Dear.

Every mother I know is stressed out, that is a perfectly natural state for any one with kids. I have raised my daughter alone for the past 7 years so I know about stress. lol You will be fine, I'm sure you are a terrific mother and wife. All kids are a pain in the butt at some time or other. Maybe you should take a day for yourself if possible. Get a pedicure, or a massage. Something just for you. good luck!

All mommys are stressed out... And the situation seems to get worse all the time! Start involving your children in getting tasks completed...that will keep them occupied, your work will be completed faster and then all of you can go for an ice cream treat or to the park or movie or just play a game of ludo, scrabble, dumbcharades etc. You can even ask them to make educational aids like flashcards for the younger ones. Or painting the fence/old tables at home are fun time activities for children. Dont forget to praise their efforts and give them a gift for the same.
