Christians will tell you "that's all in the past," but the thing is, the people who did those things used the same bible in use today to justify those things. They claim the Koran is full of evil while they ignore the passages in their own bible where their god tells his followers to kill everyone in a village if one person there dosn't believe in him.

Oh, if it were only about the abuse on women. I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian, and if it weren't for the Orthodox having to deal with the Muslims all these years, most of the West would not be as rich as it is. They have been killing us off for years. Centuries ago in Romania, they would take the children away as a tithe. So the Romanians would cut off the fingers of the children, so they wouldn't be taken away, as the Muslims would not take a child who had been mutalated.
By the way, the Salem Witch Trials were not Christian, and I don't have to defend any behavior that isn't Christian.
Go ask a Greek what the Muslims have done in his country. Go ask the Christians in those areas what they have done.
Recently, Hezbollah set up their rocket launchers in the Christian neighborhoods of Lebanon, and left them there, so
when the Israeli's would attack back, the Lebanese Christians would die.
I could go on and on. It is not only they oppress women, they oppress ANYONE who is not them, and they have been doing it for CENTURIES.

No because a non muslims will never understand Islam unless s/he studies it in detail and understands the concept. Likewise for christianity and Judaism However, if someone criticizes another religion based on stupid comments and wrong information, than that person needs to be educated. Attacking another religion will never lead to any progress and there will always be a feud between them.

well, some people do not want to listen to the truth. there are many other religions in the world that has many weird stuff, but these people prefer to criticize islam. they want every one to be like them. if we had the world filled with all same poeple and way of thinking, we will not learn from each other. we will be all the same. it's sad how some people do not want to listen to the others. some people only repeat what they hear. they hear this and that about islam, then they start repeating without knowing whether it is right or not. very sad

Those people are what I like to call Christian by convenience. They think that no matter what they do, how they treat others, or how they behave that since they believe in Jesus as the Lord all they have to do is go to confession and repent. Any true Christian will tell you that even if you go to confession but continue to behave like that you are not going to get into heaven.

I think the main difference is women in the Christian/Jewish faiths in most of the world have the option of buying into the idea of servitude and unworthiness. They can embrace second-class citizenry or turn their backs on it and come to their senses. In some societies females are cast in the role of the inferior gender against their will.

I think some people in general get a fancy from criticizing others. it not that they believe in prejudges whole heartily, it just that they want to believe in it so bad. So even if you present a historical record of events they still will not accept that evil is wide spread and that the media tends to pick and choose what "evil" they want to point out. But I learn its best to surround yourself with positive people who don't carry the burden of prejudges and hate.
They, in my opinion, are the best people among us.

We tend to defend our own people groups and overlook their own problems. We also tend to understand the reasoning behind even horrible acts, and while disapproving of certain things, one can better understand the basis. It's an almost universal thing. People are silly.

You live and learn....these other weir religions, Islam whatever I don't care what they do, I believe in one God, that's final.... it don't matter who you are in this world, everyone of us are sinners as long as we live on earth.... so yes, sorta speak us Christians in a way can get away with that, cause we are sinners, but we can be forgiving too, as long as we are sincere in doing so.
