I dont even know what it stands for.... I want to know everything about digital photography...how can I look into it on the net?

It stands for International Standards Organization, and it is a way of rating the amount of light required by a given film to make a good image in a given amount of light. The standard uses sunny daylight at f16, which should give you a speed of the ISO. Example: your film speed is 400, so on a sunny day, your exposure meter in your camera should give you a reading of 1/400 of a second at f16. (This is known as the "Sunny 16" Rule.) Digital cameras use the same system, only you can set your camera for different ISO's depending on conditions. The higher you set it, however, the more digital noise (random bits of color information) you will see in your pictures.
