Splenda has no calories or carbs. It is made from sugar and tastes way better than aspartame or NutraSweet. Since I discovered it I use it in my coffee everyday. I actually dropped a couple pounds when I switched from sugar to Splenda and have kept the weight off. Go ahead and indulge if it says Splenda on the label. Good stuff.
Have a great day!!!

Splenda does not make you gain weight, I believe zero carbs and zero calories.
Dasani flavored water may have some calories due to the artificial flavoring of water, but read the label on these product that should answer your questions.

Well Splenda and artificial sweetners can hinder your weight loss efforts. The sweet taste triggers the insulin in your body to have a similar reaction to what it would have if you were drinking regular sugar.
I've also heard that it can slow your metabolism.
Splenda is manufactured in a lab and is reverse sugar.
You will ALWAYS be better off drinking regular, clear water. It will be less work for your body, (kidneys, etc) to process this water.

not really, no. Check the Nutrition Facts on the back of whatever your drinking. It should have zero or next to zero calories because its a substitute for sugar. Splenda is better than other sugar substitutes because they havent (scientists) found any harmful side effects
so drink up!!!!

Due to the pre-approval testing, I chose to avoid Splenda, and instead chose Naturally Sweet.

I have never heard that and I am on a pretty strict diet regimen. Splenda is also not a completely artificial sweetener. It is made from real sugar cane.

It's safer than NutraSweet which contains aspertame. CH3OH. Methanol is the simplest alcohol and is toxic. Splenda is probably not safe, but it has not been around long enough to know. Here is two links:
Aspertame:

Sucralose:

Doubtful. Splenda has no calories. I have heard that sometimes artificial sweeteners do trigger eating cravings, but I do not know if Splenda is one of them.

A recent finding shows that artificial sweeteners teach your body that sweet foods do not have calories. This throws off your body's understanding of limiting caloric intake. Your body will normally shut off hunger cues when you have eaten a set amount of calories, but if your body adopts the sense that sweet foods are non-caloric you may eat more and gain weight.

Air makes me gain weight! lol (or sometimes it seems like it) Splenda isn't supposed to have any calories, but I've read that it still raises your insulin level or something like that.
