Very sadly yes, and at a very young age. Then it lasted for 7 long years. I'm 51, and when it happened to me no one would listen. The man that did it was a boy scout leader, a Deacon of the church, so I was up against someone higher up in town, and I was just a little girl. I'm soooooooooo happy it's more in the open now, and we can help these kids, and put the pedophiles away ~

uumm, no. but if u're family won't talk about it, then find someone who will. it's horrible to keep all ur feelings inside of u. u need to talk about what u feel because then u might start thinking that it's ur fault when it wasn't. i went through a dif. sort of abuse and that's what i thought until the therapist set me straight. do urself a favor and get counseling at least; there should be some in ur area that're free. there's also support groups of ppl who've gone through the same thing. u don't have to do it right now, but think about turning ur abuser in sometime in the future. if u don't do it, then the next child he molests might be urs. there's help out there and u don't have to remain quiet.

If you were molested by a family member, the WORST thing you can do is keep it quiet. Report the person to the police immediately. If they molested you, they're capable of molesting other people.

yes i was molested by my father up until the age of 15 and i put his butt in jail. he is out now but he will forever be a registered sex offender. he only spent 3 and half years in prison and then when he got out he was put on probation for 7 and a half years. he only has 3 more years left on probation. i think that sick people like him should be put in prison for life. it makes me sick that they get it so easy as if the welfare of children isn't that important because they are just so willing to let these people back out into society and most of them end up being repeat offenders and some even go as far as murdering children after they get out. it's just wrong.

Female as well as male cousins. I didn't tell anyone until I was an adult. But I wouldn't recommend anyone to hold it in that long. Go tell someone more matter who it is. Molestation is wrong and no one should have to live like that....Good Luck

If I were you I wouldn't keep quite I would tell someone right away. Because if you let that person do that once most likely there going to do it again. so tell somebody that way that person can be locked up and never hurt you or anybody else for that matter.

Yes , but I kept it quite until I was older and was made out to be a liar, so maybe it would of been best not to have ever brought it up.

Yes. My mind suppressed it until one day I was watching a talk show and I remembered. You are always holding back and can never give completely to someone else.
