Outher than the fact you cant drive away from home with you land line phone? Cell phones use radio waves to communicate to the cell towers where the cell towers convert that signal and send it down the plan old telephone system. where as land line service runds from your house up to the pole/or if buried to a splicing box that serves a few houses near it, from that its runs to a wiring box, or remote terminal, if dsl service is available in your are, then via fiber to your central office, where your phone number "lives" from the central office it is introduced to your carriers fiber network where its sent out to whereever you are dialing if in their network, or sent to the providers network your calling.

Land line is hooked to a jack of some sort, like whats in your house. A cell phone has no wires, hence wireless cell phone....Cell phones use towers, radio waves I guess you would call it!

The landline phone is the one in your house, connected to a phone line. A cell phone works with a battery and doesn't need to be connected to a phone line.

A landline phone goes through the phone cord plugged into the wall. When you make calls, they go over the phone lines dangling over your house. Some landline phones go through cable lines, making the call more clear and easier to depend on.

A cell phone uses wireless signals to reliable (or not so reliable) satellites to transmit phone calls.

I hope this helps!

A land line phone will have actual wires out of your house that connects it to the Central Office (where you will get your dial tone). A cellular phone uses radio waves to 'connect' to a tower that is in your area. The tower connects to the Central Office and passes the dial tone to your phone.

line phone is the one you left it at home and you seldom get a chance to use (see your daughter or son is always on the phone when you are back, sometimes even your wife!!) so line phone is something that you pay and sacrify for your family..

cell phone, on the other hand, you could carry it along with you to wherever you goes (even to your death, seriously!!!) and you are the sole user if you don't part it with yourself and you could even have some secrets hidden in there...

so there you goes..
