It is great that you want to learn a second language. I found that learning spanish helped me better understand english.

Starting off, you should check out ebay or amazon for some cheap spanish handbooks. Also, spanish books on tape, and spanish movies. Really you don't need a tutor (mainly b/c its expensive) more or less, you can teach yourself! The resources online for free or cheap are great. Like www.freetranslation.com.

However, if you need a cheap tutor, e-mail me or message me any time (i'm a five-year spanish student, so you can say I'm bilingual)

I hope this helps!

Learning another language is always nice, but practicing it with others is crucial. This is why a classroom atmosphere is great. You can speak it in front of other people which not only helps your own pronunciation but listening to others will help your understanding of randomly composed sentences. If you can't get in to a class then there are both Spanish and French teaching software which allows the computer to analyze your speech by using a mic and headset. You can literally converse with the computer. Tests/quizzes and games are also a part of the PC "courses. Check out your local Future Shop or other local electronics store.

Spanish is a language with more rules in it than french, thus making in a way easier to learn. French is in my opinion more fun. I find French easier than Spanish, but it's just a matter of the person or way you learn it.

To find resources, go to your library and search through a few catalogs. That's a good place to look for material to teach you a language.

well get friends that speak spanish
and ask them to always talk spanish around you.
cause its like how a baby learns to talk.
at first it will be unfamiliar but if you hear it constantly and ask questions about what certain things mean, im sure you'll pick it up in no time.

i am from colombia and when i first moved to the US i went to school without knowning english, it was an experience but it helped me learn extremely fast.

You could buy language tutor books from Amazon or Ebay... You could get ones that are in Spanish but teach another language.

Don't worry about "hard to learn" if you put your mind to it you'll get there easily; i speak both of the very fluently. Check out this website, it offers the best learning tool used by the US Government, and while it's expensive, you can get it here for free. http://www.learning-offer.com/rd_p?p=104136&t=1125&c=298987&gift=1392&a=1392-free%20learn%20spanish
You should also check out this website it's free and it's very good: http://www.studyspanish.com/
