I never do. I drink coffee, 2 cups of it. Then I don't eat until about 3 or 4 pm. Could this be why I have stubborn belly fat? Is it true that eating normal helps you loose fat?

yes!

it keeps your metabolism rolling.
plus eating breaky starts your metabolism in the morning, and it won't start until you eat something.

try and shovel down an apple or something, anything helps.

when you don't eat for a while, your body goes into starvation mode and then when you DO eat, it will store that food as fat.

hence the fatness.

don't stop eating, because then once you start, you'll just balloon up and then your metabolism will be all f'ed up.
don't listen to ppl who say they don't eat, obviously not very bright people.

Eating breakfast...anything really will start your metabolism from that point when you start eating...
so when you don't eat anything until 3 or 4 pm then yes your metabolism has slowed down so much that it probably is affecting that "stubborn belly fat"
when you wake up if you eat like a half o bowl of cereal with skim milk...and something else low in calories at lunch and dinner then you will start to lose weight and you'll feel better all around because your giving your body fuel to burn throughout the day...just don't give it too much...stop eating when your not hungry anymore...and when you do get hungry eat something low in calories...the way to lose weight is to burn up more calories than you take in....
also don't forget to drink the recommended 8 ounces of water a day or more if you can...if you drink water and only water for the next month the results will surprise you....
exercise will also help you lose weight...even if its just a 30 min walk every evening or morning....
good luck!

Well, it's not healthy for you and this could be why you do have sub born belly fat. Eating breakfast is the best thing you can do if your body. It give your body the message that it's a new day and that you need all the energy to have a great day. So if you pass over lunch try not to pas over breakfast. it dose not have to be big toast and a apple with your coffee, or whole grain cereal with toast. You will also notice that by doing this you will not feel so tired at the end of the day.

I have the same problem but I can't even drink coffee. I can only eat in the afternoon. I guess we don't require as much food as other people but I don't think that not eating breakfast would contribute to belly fat. It just depends on what you eat at 3 or 4pm.

It's not very hard to skip breakfast, especially if you're a young, working person on the go. I used to do it all the time (sometimes I still do) but my nutritionist has told me that breakfast is very important...if nothing else, grab a protein/nutrition bar and eat that as breakfast so your body has something to jump start your metabolism with at the beginning of the day. You'll have more energy throughout the day.

I eat breakfast daily, but as of Monday I'm changing my diet and exercise routines, to shape up for school. I personally cannot stand coffee, and if I don't eat breakfast in the morning I get sick.

You could always try eating a fruit to start, then maybe moving on to a peice of fruit and a granola bar? Slowly change your diet so it's not one big step. And if you don't like it, you can always stop and try something else.

eating every few hours helps you loose weight.. i ussually only drink coffee in the morning and then a small lunch then dinner but when i snack my way threw the day like bowl of cereal for breakfast, handful of almond a few hours later then chicken salad for lunch, then some fruit for mid day snack, then balanced dinner( protein, carbs, veggie) and a yogurt for dessert i can tell i'm losing the little belly i have. but i rarely do this cause when you drink coffee it suppresses your appetite and i would rather so that then have the huge head ache i get when i don't drink my coffee

Eating breakfast in the morning gets your metabolism going; it slows down during the night just like it would slow down if you were starving (although admittedly not as much).

You don't have to eat a big breakfast, maybe just some yogurt or toast so that your body doesn't go crazy and hold on to everything you eat.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! I'd rather give up another meal than breakfast if I had to. Eating 6 small meals instead of 3 big meals is supposed to be healthier. Exercise helps you lose fat.

well supposedly it's better to eat more smaller meals than one or two large ones, but I never have time for breakfast. Also, coffee makes you retain water and swell slightly also, so if today is friday and you have a hot date tomorrow night, you should skip the coffee and drink lots and lots of water, it will flush you out and the swelling will go down.
